When the 1080ti replacement is expected?
Thank you.

Problem with SLI is the unreability on a lot of titles and the constant micro-stutter. If that do not bother you, you can buy another or wait until beggining of next year for a possible mini-Volta

Thank you. Is the microstutter 1080ti specific or is that the general sli stuff?
I am not really sensitive to sli microstutter. Never really noticed it. Maybe because of the two NVidia nf200 chips on the motherboard that control the pcie operation.

EK block and back plate came in yesterday, but I work all week. So I'll install it on the Strix 1080ti this weekend. Cost me $350 CAD with duty and taxes. Unreal.thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Yeah, the waterbucks and backplates are crazy expensive. And to think that you will have to sell it in a few months...

No It's for my 11 year olds computer. Will keep this card for a couple years.

The stutter is due to SLI.
I thought i was ok with it but back in the day of the Radeon 5970 dual chip i got so tired of it that i changed to a less powerful but single chip nvidia card lol

Nobody knows. Probably early next year for the consumer Volta cards.

You could get a couple of Titan Xps. Do you have $2400 burning a hole in your pocket?

My 290X block no back-plate was liek 200 CAD back before CAD was low. Still even AIO cost me $170. Way too expansive. My H100 GTX was only $80 CAD. They are milking the GPU guys.

Got a GFX card questions and an unrelated question.

My fan profile is set to come on 50% speed @ 40C but my GPU-Z on idle shows the system turning the fan ON/OFF/ON/OFF because the temp.
Is this okay or should I set a gradual increase from 0-50% between a couple of degrees like an incline from 0-50% speed from 40C-43C instead of the cliff at 50% speed at 40C I have now?

My other question anyone know of a monitor being released this year with these specs?
IPS panel, 144hz, 21:9, 3440x1440, G-Sync

I know Acer has one that's a VA panel.
