I have had an Fe and strix and both had coil whine at high fps but it was not super audiable exspecailly over case fan noise. It can whine pretty bad if fps goes really high but for 144hz monitor mine seems to not be audiable above the strix fans at 50% but I am sure if I put my ear to the glass pannel I would hear jt

All cards whine, it's luck of the draw if you get one that whines at an audible frequency.

yeah possibly GPU x2 =1000w and 350w left over for CPU/system, it is stretching slightly but TBH if I were competitively benching I would have a 1600w single PSU or a twin PSU setup.

personally I believe in overkill PSU after knowing 600w was a realistic total system draw with a decent gaming OC I still got the RM1000i for future possible SLI upgrade.
just Gaming OC and bench OC would have different PSU requirements I generally speak with 24/7 game stable OC PSU requirements

Wow thanks.. that helped a lot.

Any text that I have to type (or text heavy websites like this one) and it's now fixed.. however many menus and stuff throughout windows are still affected.

This will do as a temproary fix 100%.. so thanks...

Just can't help feeling I've cheated with a "workaround "...

Wish I could get to the root of the issue. Though. As I worry I may be losing graphics quality in games etc without knowing it.

Anyway rep+

It is not a workaround, IMO. You attacked the heart of the problem. smile.gif
If cleartype calibration helped you fix the issue, then you fixed the root of the problem. No need to worry about "the core" of the issue. Your problem is not a hardware problem.

Hey was hoping for advice on two things:
1 - my current overclock is only +170 core and +300 memory with voltage + 100 and power limit 120. I run on water and i'm definitely not thermal throttling but i notice i hit the power limit when i try to clock higher and will result in crashes on more core or artifacts on more memory. So should i do the bios mod. I heard you cant monitor the voltage though if you use it which seems worrying.
2 - Whats the best software for testing your oc, currently im using Heaven and 3D Mark(free version)
P.S using dual sli if that makes a difference.

And this statement actually means nothing such offset on top factory OCed cards means top HOF results and on FE means not even average results.
Please write the exact values you have during benchmarks not offset please.

I agree, posting the offsets is irrelevant if no one knows what the base/boost values are.

Looks like I got her stable at ~2012mhz and ~5750 memory clocks, thanks everyone for all of the input here. Also, I found out that firestrike is a much better stability test than super position. But that superposition is even better than heaven, lol. I could easily run heaven on loop at 2050, but I got crashes in firestrike until I went down to 2012mhz.

Well even I learned something there TBH I am no idea what's causing the current problem.
but you know the old saying if all else fails there...... there is nothing like a fresh install of windows.
