The "I wish I had a motherboard" thread

So I have everything to build my new Ryzen PC except for the motherboard. I had ordered a CH6 from Newegg when I ordered my 1700x, but with a ship date of March 9 I was like "nah". I cancelled my order and being an Amazon Prime member ordered it from Amazon only to not have a ship date listed at all. I'm starting to think in my impatience I screwed my self! How many of you guys and gals are in the same boat?

I preordered as soon as it was available and have received nothing at all. As far as I know, no one in Canada has received anything. I cancelled my preorders, since I'm going to be waiting anyways, I figure I'll sit and wait out a lot of the early adoption headaches.

Bit of a bungled launch IMO. Not the performance or anything like that...but why even have preorders saying we'll receive product on launch day when there is nothing to distribute?

I ordered an MSI X370 titanium 15 minutes after launch ibn newegg, should be here tuesday. Ordered an ASUS hero 24 hours later on amazon - never got an update on my order sooo I canceled it yesterday.

I tried the Amazon rout the day preorders were announced, but when March 2 came, and no update from Amazon came. I cancelled and went to Newegg. My 1700 shipped that day. Though I'm still waiting on a board. I'm guessing though that my Taichi should ship Monday or Tuesday as Newegg has an ETA for stock on the 7th. *Fingers crossed*

Methinks I read in another thread that the response to Ryzen has been so large that everyone is sold out of everything.

Microcenter here has 10+ of all 3 CPU's but only has a choice of 2 B350 motherboards, the MSI Tomahawk and ASUS Prime Plus.

Newegg and Amazon had conflicting release dates on the MSI Pro Carbon. Newegg's release was on the 8th, amazon's on the 2nd respectively. I cancelled my Newegg pre order on it and went with amazon.
Now I am sure Newegg's release date was correct and Amazon just got confused.
With that being said, I've been hammering Amazon on this daily. In fact, its turned into a game for me. Amazon customer service has told me a few different things at this point ranging from the "actual release date on the board was 3/3/2017 to back orders will take 1 to 2 months to fill.

I've received all but one thing.
To put it into perspective...I ordered my AM4 bracket the day I ordered the board. The bracket sat in "processing" at EKWB for 3 days before leaving Slovenia. I've gotten the bracket and completed the paint job.
...
No motherboard.

If I sound like an impatient child......then you're correct.
I am and I don't care.

I should also mention that EKWB has the single best customer service I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and DHL shipping is excellent.

Newegg has Asus Prime x370-Pro's in stock. Or so they say. So I cancelled my Amazon CH6 order and just ordered one of these. I don't plan on doing mega overclocking and really don't need all the CH6 features so hopefully I'll have a motherboard by the weekend. Not to mention it's 100 bucks cheaper.

I ordered one too (+rep on the heads up btw) and it's shipped as well. Looks like the Killer SLI/AC is now out of stock too. Mine is also arriving Wednesday.

Actually the real reason that nobody can find a motherboard anywhere on the planet is because intel is buying them all.
So people are forced to spend more than a grand on a similar intel CPU. They are still making a profit.

It is. Its TRUE.
lol.

Cancelled my Amazon CH6 order and will be picking one up from a local retailer once they are stocked. I really don't want to deal with online retailer return if it goes the bricked route...and Asus R&D isn't seeing any failures with there boards so SOME are working.

I found a Titanium in stock at local retailer but $300, only 10 phases, and a couple other nick nacks missing (3d printer, flow meter header, 3A pump header) means I'll be waiting.

Yeah, are there *ANY* X370 Motherboards out there that are in stock?

I have all my components on route, but the only motherboard I saw that I liked I ordered, then it changed to "Back-Ordered" and has been there ever since.

Ironically, it says below that "Usually ships within 1 to 15 days", which I don't know whether to believe that, or if it's just BS...

Where do you live? There's quite a few X370 boards online, but not a whole lot on the west coast other than LA.
