Appraisal: Original 60 GB B/C PS3 practically BNIB

I'm sure this will vary upon reasonable/collector value but the other day I realized I still have a BNIB (only removed once to make sure it worked properly when first purchased and put back away near launch timeframe) that I had buried under some empty shoe boxes in a closet. Trying to get a feeler on what something like this would be worth? Seen some ebay prices as high as 2k but no one in their right mind would pay that... I have a PS3 Slim that someone gave to me because it had issues (was an easy fix) that I have used for PS3 gaming purposes hence why I forgot I had the B/C one. Thanks

$200 is pretty reasonable for the 60GB Backwards Compatible model (CECHA01). That's how much they go for used on Amazon; for a while they were even selling for $300 at Gamestop (half the price of what they were brand new during their initial launch a decade ago if I'm not mistaken). These are not only worth quite a bit due to the "collector" value but because of the way their backwards compatibility not only worked with old PS1/2 games, but enhanced the images to look better on modern TV screens up to PS3 quality. Thus their prices spiked up for quite a while due to the retro/nostalgia/reboot factor due to that particular feature. However with the advent of being able to use emulators to achieve the same effect now, the B/C value isn't as extravagant anymore.
