For some reason my IBT gflops is about half what it should be, this is my 1700 @ 3.9ghz:

I've seen this for others too (like http://www.overclock.net/t/1624603/lightbox/post/25994299/id/3004096). I don't think the system itself is under performing but it's a bit odd.

Yeah had discrepancy last night, 5 loops, not as big as you highlight. I class below screenie as HPET unknown. As I had been doing other benching yesterday and playing with on/off, but I reckon it was off.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Then today 1x loop, no HWiNFO, HPET On.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

1x loop, HWiNFO 1000ms polling, HPET On.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

1x loop, no HWiNFO, HPET Off.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

10x loop, HWiNFO 1000ms polling, HPET Off (disabled prior to run/reboot, just using BCEDIT to show status).

10x loop, HWiNFO 1000ms polling, HPET On (enabled prior to run/reboot, just using BCEDIT to show status).

I have very little installed in W10C and very little in startup, etc, no idea why last night was so off on GFlops. Same UEFI settings tested today.

That's completely normal for the non-avx version. The AVX version is about double.

IBT is extremely sensitive to the amount of RAM you use. If you use too much it starts hitting up the swap file. You'll be able to tell because it won't heat up as much as usual. If you use too little you also get less heat and lower GFlops but it's not as bad as using too much.

Also if you try a range of RAM values it seems to oscillate. As you lower the amount of RAM you might see your GFlops steadily increase...and as soon as you lower beyond that you might see a large drop in heat/GFlops. Then, if you continue to lower it you will see GFlops steadily increase again. It's really annoying and reminds me of trying to find optimal settings for scrypt mining. Even more so because you can't just choose the number of MB...you have to do silly things like keep opening new browser tabs until you have the right amount of free RAM.

I've been able to get as much as 181.5 GFlops with a 3.85GHz OC, and about 179.5 GFlops @ 3.80GHz. If you're getting less than 178 I would say you're not stressing the CPU as much as you could. On the flip side though it is a pretty intense stress test, so playing with RAM values gives you a way to choose an intensity level in a sense. It can be useful if you're thermally limited (but you're okay with the voltage) to lower the "intensity" and just run it a little longer for weeding out instabilities without overheating.

Can you post a dload link to the AVX version? I have 2.54 which I thought was AVX, but it appears not, and I can't find AVX version anywhere.

Yeah, it is a bit hard to find. I uploaded it to MEGA for you.

I didn't play with HPET, bcdedit indicates that it is disabled. The AVX version of IBT gives me the expected gflops numbers now though. My 1700 isn't that great, does 3.85 @ 1.35v (LLC3) and needs 1.41v+ to push to 3.9-3.95.

Latest update:

Running CH6 w/ Bios 1107

1700 @ 3.8ghz
+ 0.075v offset

Ram @ 3200 14-14-14-34-1T
1.35v DDR
On 1107 I have left DDR Vboot at auto. It appears 1107 may actually set DDR Vboot to match DDR voltage.

0.975v SOC

For me on 0079 / 0081 / 0082 leaving VBOOT [Auto] with VDIMM [1.3500] I did get correct voltage at mobo post section of AMD code, checked using a DMM smile.gif .

For me I always see ~+25mV on RAM voltage on ProbeIt point compared with what set in UEFI. HWiNFO does seem to show ~1.35V though. I think just like the VCORE ProbeIt shows LL to power plane I reckon the DRAM point is also doing the same. I also compared SOC on ProbeIt vs HWiNFO SOC (SVI2 TFN) and again difference. So I conclude all the ProbeIt points show some LL to power plane.

I just seem to like setting what I can manually at times. So still opt for VBOOT set to match VDIMM.

+rep for share on C6H UEFI 1107, gonna flash now smile.gif .
