I use that to control my "VRM" fans - it's worked the same since release - and matches with what HWiNFO64 says for temps.
my Kracken X62's software (as much as I dislike it) also uses the TCtl/Tdie.
so, I guess it's a configuration issue.
and on the sound thing - don't use ASRock's driver : use drivers from :Station-Drivers Realtek HDA
Not quite sure I follow.
I'm running the very first H100 with the pump plugged into the CPU header and 2 120MM 3 pin fans plugged into the CPU Opt and Chassis 3/Pump header. They're set in DC mode as they just max out if put in PWM mode. I don't have any software for the fans except the BIOS and the A-Tuning software. Everything scales fine and it's just that what my BIOS and A-Tuning thinks is the CPU temp is the sensor just labelled "CPU" when it should be on Tctl. I've rescaled my fans to the lower reading sensor but it's not ideal.
well, first off, my post was pointing out that the a-tuning "CPU" temp value matches across all software as the Tdie/Tctl for my 1700 - if you have a 1700x, or 1800x - you need to take into account the ~20C delta that you will see (actual temp is 20C less than stated) (I think that splits Tdie and Tctl) so the vaule is still right - just "wrong
2nd : the header you are using would have to be changed to DC mode as they are not PWM fans (that's why they max out when put into PWM mode) - I am not sure that any motherboard supports 3 pin fans properly anymore; I haven't had one in a many of year; so i wouldn't know.
3rd : I am not an expert - but shouldn't the pump and fans be on different headers (cpu and CPU opt) as you want to control those speeds separately.
