edit... My CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 did XMP 16-18-18-18 no problem wish my gskill would work.

Can you guys with gigabyte boards tell me if this is normal, i took a quick video of the fluxing bclk, it goes up to 114 sometimes.

edit... Took a quick vid of the bclk going up real high, not sure if its a glitch graphically or its actually going up that high.

yeah my ab350m gaming 3 does the same, i also get fluctuations in the vcore but not anywhere near of what they are in cpu-z.

Im using CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 and have managed to get it running at 3200 with some soc voltage tweaking, 2933 was pretty straight forward though.

btw what changes are there in the f3c bios? im still running f2

i just got the flare x gskill f4-3200c14d-16fx . ddr3200 8gb x 2. cl 14 14 14 34. 1.35v

with my aurus gaming 5 x370.

these ram kits are awesome. just started up xmp and it loaded right away.

BYE BYE CORSAIR VENGANCE! maybe i'll keep the corsair vengance so i can run benchmarks on a 7700k

More memory qualifications is basically all.

What memory you guys think i should get? Newegg has 10% off ddr4 memory today, im between these two:

According to this they are both samsung b die:

Worth it to go for the 4000 just in case at some point ryzen get support that high?

Other option would be go for a 3200mhz cas 14 kit for 160 bucks, and hope xmp button works lol. As to that, would copying the timings from a cas 14 3200 likely work for the ram i linked above?

Thanks.

They are not dead sticks, they are dim sticks under a software glitch so they are unable to work properly. This bug will be addressed in the next software update. The RAM itself works fine, so the OS and DRAM Frequency should all perform normally, the only issue is the lighting and it is independent of RAM performance so there's no need to worry. Simply because a LED is not working properly does no mean the entire module is dead. No hardware is damaged, no different than any other RAM. RAM does not inflict harm on other hardware. It is a standardized part so standard Voltages will not harm the CPU, motherboard, or anything else.

I just sent back my memory to Newegg (F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR) because one of the modules would no longer light up no matter what I tried. So I ordered the 16GB set (F4-3200C14D-16GTZR) in place of the 32GB set, and now one of those modules isn't lighting up any more either. Are you telling me that my other RAM (F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR) was probably perfectly fine and just required a newer version of the GSkill RGB software?

Also noticed that in the BIOS, and in CPUZ, that one of modules' XMP profile reports 0.000 voltage.

RAM is F4-3200C16D-16GTZR.
Motherboard is Asrock X370 Tai Chi.

Enabled XMP profile, after installing the gskill software.
Next reboot, post kept looping with mobo throwing a CO error. One stick the RGB was dead, the other the RGB was having a apoplexy.
Reset CMOS.
Removed the stick with the buggered RGB, still CO error.
Swapped sticks, computer now boots.

So the dead RGB stick works, other, nada.

Will do a video as I'm returning the RAM.

Exact same issue.. Did return them and got new one. No rgb software for me..definitely not the one in beta..

I'll wish you good luck in finding a fix though.

Got exactly the same ram as you, but it damaged one of the stick with a Asus Prime B350 plus and the other were showing 0.00 volt xmp in cpuz

Installed the memory and all were working at 3200mhz and the day after when turning the computer on, one of the stick doesn´t light on anymore.

If you have a G.Skill RGB kit, do not enable XMP, Set voltage manually and a bit under 1.35 since it overshoots on most if not all AM4 boards, and DO NOT use the RGB software. Wait until the dust settles otherwise you will be RMAing the kit in short order!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Reads like you have had SPD corruption.

See posts in this thread. Perhaps @GSKILL SUPPORT can comment as to if this is the case on RGB RAM?

As an owner could get RMA refused on basis they caused SPD "issue", link.

The problem is G.Skill's older BETA software corrupting the SPD Chips on the Modules, they are fine including the LEDs... The Youtuber who first encountered this problem tried to RMA his and initially they refused because the SPD data had been modified then they changed their minds and eventually started sending him weird Emails telling him basically to nuke his older version of their RGB controll software and NEVER use it again and to download the latest BETA.

That is the problem folks, don't use their RGB software or at least the older versions. I guess Intel platforms can boot without SPD data on Modules but Ryzen's platform is too immature at this point so the modules get ignored if no SPD data can be read.
