1N5P1R3 - Project RYZEN

Thread Starter
Hello AMD overclockers!

I'll upgrading my 1N5P1R3 build found here:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1286651/

http://pcpartpicker.com/b/RThMnQ

I wan't to run some benchmarks on my 4.5GHz 3930K system and compare them. I mostly do video compression on this system for media server purposes, with some gaming on the side.
So, I'll mostly post some CPU benchmarks surrounding encoding and image rendering, along with Time Spy.

I have a new EK waterblock on its way, I'm waiting for some of the motherboard shortages to be over before ordering the main components. I might wait a bit for the upcoming memory kits from G.Skill, or just pick up some 2x8GB 3466 B-Die Trident Z sticks.

Here are my parts I plan on using: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/S1L3N7D3A7H/saved/C2stt6

I plan on keeping my GTX 680, until Vega comes out to see what GPUs will be a better value for me.

Will edit this post, adding a few benchmarks of my current outdated system.

Subbed. Only just found your last thread. But I'm curious to see the updates. I'm in the market for an upgrade myself. I've got good specs on my current build, but I've out grown my RAM and 3hdd limited space (do a lot of work with virtual machines), and now my 970 since getting a 4k tv...

I also love the concept of the FT02 case. Gives me some good inspiration (so to speak) for my next build!

We'll both just have to be patient. The motherboard shortage is holding me back at the moment. I do have some things I am changing in my loop though, so I'll be able to show off some of the features the case had, that I adapted for watercooling.

I'm currently living in an apartment until I finish building my new house, so I am without a workshop to do any new mods I would like. I may go to a laser cutter to have an extra large window made though. biggrin.gif

I hope Vega doesn't disappoint. It has been such a long time since I have had AMD and Radeon in a system. Fingers Crossed that they have a good launch schedule, and hope EK and other vendors have waterblocks for them.

This GTX 680 is long past due for replacement. Don't know what I'll do with it. Coaster?

funny, I have the same board and RAM in my HTPC as you have currently!

I have it with a 3820 though that'll be changed to a 4820K soon. smile.gif

Subbed to see moar!
