ASUS Prime X370 Pro - Page 4

Update with a fan over the southbridge and modest i/o use but 70-90% cpu load encoding a load of h.265 I'm seeing 50-60c on the southbridge.

It's definitely warmer since moving to 0515 bios

I am going to call my supplier tomorrow.

Is that really high temperature for southbridge?

It was about 30-35 without a fan before the update.
>40 for a low stress chip is about right.

Latest BIOS 0604 I updated to today.

Previously my TridentZ Hynix 3200C16 RAM was running great at 2933 16-16-16-36.

New BIOS I'm no longer able to post at anything higher than 2133 at 16-18-18-38

@malogeek i had same issue with 0515 was fine for a bit then had to go back to 2133.

I can't find the 0604 update.
It's not on ASUS website.
Is it stable? Is it beta?
Can you post a link?

Right-click on the 0515 link on the Asus server, Copy the link and manually change 0515 to 0604. Then open this new link.

The 0604 BIOS is posted under the Windows 7 64bit section at the moment. ASUS tend to take a couple of days to realize there's more than one OS on their website and eventually post it to all the sections.
