I'm somewhat puzzled by the dressing up of TN panels for wide color gamut. It would be impossible to fully realize good color from one unless you are viewing it from say four times the normal distance. The other option would be if they are being "optimistic" about the response time of some other panel technology to a point beyond where anyone has dared before.

Um, not bad, but no point for me to upgrade from 165Hz IPS 27' G-Sync monitor just for HDR alone...

I was expecting some Ultra Wides with HDR and 120-144Hz frown.gif Dissapointed.

Not even 4K 32+ inches HDR G-Sync monitor/panel...

Sad, still waiting.

Where are you seeing TN? It's VA + strobing.

I didn't say definitively that it was TN; I speculated that it was based on response times. My original statement which you quoted says as much.

CFG70s are VAs these are coming after and are again VAs to my knowledge. TNs are dead unless you want to buy a cheaper 144Hz 1080p.
No way can TN do the color range of IPS/VA.

No idea where you're getting that Samsung is launching more TNs.

What Samsung needs is an issue free panel and monitor build with 144Hz IPS/VA at a reasonable price, so far they are bugged and cost three times as much as a Samsung IPS/PLS 60Hz of the same size. Ridiculous.
They gotta bring prices down and remove issues that make the CFG borderline unusable.
