[Various] Samsung 2017 monitor lineup - Page 18

Too much speculation at this point. They may be TN, which is an instant downer to me.and the flat shg50 that I'm waiting for, seems there is the least info. After the ag352ucg I'm sure I'll never buy curved again.

However, for the 49" one (in which I'm super interested in personally) I think Free sync is a safer bet, but, perhaps, they might do a g-sync version too, considering this type of monitor is targeted at the upper segment and Nvidia owns it completely.

For me , i want to get CHG75 but see this :-

I'm afraid because i haven't seen any site talked about CHG75 and maybe this rumors and there is no G-sync model basically but i think we'll see G-sync models . It just matter of time.

The links above is all info from February 2017, it just didn't spread before

This is the most recent, few weeks old. They added G-Sync and the 49'' 32:9 monitor

The question is - are those just concepts? like the vaporware Samsung CH711?

It also seems that the SHG50 will be "blessed" by a non-height-adjustable stand, since HAS isn't mentioned anywhere. mad.gif

sorry for the doublepost but it has struck me that the CFG73 is listed with HAS stand (height adjustable), but the CFG75 isn't.

Does it mean that basically, if you want the HAS (and I think most do), you have to buy the standard (freesync?) version?

If I understand this correctly, it goes like this:

1. regular CFG70 - What we have now - the 24incher does have height regulation, IIRC? and so does the 27incher?
2. CFG73 - a HAS stand is mentioned, but the CFG70 already has that. So what's "new" for this monitor, exactly?
3. CFG75 - Gsync, but no HAS stand?

I feel pretty confused.

I am skeptical of ASUS' QC for their 27in 4k FALD monitor. And so... I'm really hoping the Samsung is good on the CHG75.

Curve being actively bad for desktop use? Never heard of that, then again maybe I should read more on it.

Can I please get a monitor that ticks the right boxes so I can get rid of my DVID?

For me , this Asus is still LCD panel doesn't worth $2000 , if you have $2000 , put another $300 and get 55'' LG OLED B6P .
So it is better to stay with this Samsung CHG75 ( 27'' 1440P VA HDR10 QD 1MS 144HZ and G-sync ) for about $1,000 until we can get 27'' 4k/2k OLED HDR10 144hz and G-sync for a reasonable price .
