[Various] Samsung 2017 monitor lineup - Page 22

well, we already know that 2K = 1080p. The SHG50 confirms that, so unless proven otherwise, I think that's what we can expect.
It's just strange that they would use a different model number for it if it's the same specs as CHG70

I have two reasons make us think CHG70 will be 1440p and not 1080p :-

1) If they want 1080p HDR gaming monitors this year , why they realesed 1080p without HDR in 2016 ?
I think they know that everyone won't buy this CFG70 and will wait for 1080p HDR in 2017 .

2) I think the value of HDR in 1080p will be with ultrawide gaming monitor and not 16:9 .

I think CHG70 / CHG75 will be VA 1440P QD HDR in order to compete upcoming Asus PG27UQ and Acer XB272-HDR IPS 4K FALD HDR QD .

Also I think that the c/shg50 models will probably be the cheaper models, maybe remodeled CFG70s.

Did not Asus also confirm a 2k version? Really interested in that one. If its bleed proof.

Anyone knows are they even going to release that 31,5'' model and when? This is getting really annoying to be honest...

sadly, it's extremely probable that CHG70 is a TN panel.

Just look at the newly announced Asus monitor, PG27VQ. It uses a curved 27inch quantum dot+ HDR panel... sounds familiar?

And it's confirmed to be a TN panel!

FAIL.
Yeah, EPIC FAIL really...

Damn, well that was a dissapointment...so much for an VA panel with HDR with Gsync. Looks like the search continues....
