What matters to us is to find 1440p VA HDR QD G-sync / freesync , i don't care if it'll be flat or curve .

There is a risk, however, that we'll only get a 31,5" version.
That's the size that matters most to me... there simply aren't any other monitors 30" or bigger that come in 144hz 1440p gysync / free sync flavors. It would be a market first and it sounds like exactly why I've been waiting on (curved or flat, whichever).

There will be other variants based on the 31.5" 144hz panel. Earlier in the thread someone linked the AOC version that is coming out in May. I'm not sure how all of the specs will line up but I think we will see a few 31.5"/32" 1440p 144hz screens coming out soon.

There is no comparison between Samsung CHG70 / 75 and Aoc AG322QCX :-
Samsung CHG70 / 75 ( 31.5" 1440p VA HDR QD G-sync / freesync 144hz ) and Contrast Ratio 3000:1
Aoc AG322QCX ( 31.5" 1440p VA No HDR No QD No G-sync / freesync ) and Contrast Ratio 2000:1

So i think Samsung CHG70 / 75 is worth the wait .

HDR, Quantum Dot and G-Sync are the differences that we know of right now. The AOC has freesync which is good since I don't want G-Sync, but HDR and QD fall into the "if it doesn't cost anything extra, I'll take it" category. For me, they will make a great comparison.

The Philips 328M6FJMB has gamut similar to the QD monitors, seems like a step between the AOC and Samsung. Still no info on release though.
The Crossover 32QX144 is already available to import from Korea.
I hope that Sammy uses 10-bit (8bit+frc) panels for the CHG7X instead, otherwise HDR can't really be displayed as intended.

The milking has started since the oligopoly has collectively decided that 1080p60 TN is enough for the plebs and there is no need to waste money on R&D to make better monitors. As such a monitor from 2007 and 2017 is pretty much the same when it comes to specs and almost the same in price as well.
It has been similar with photo cameras too where only recently it started to break up and better products are being offered, slowly but some companies are finally trying.

There is a huge lack of competition in the electronics market when it comes to the core parts, sure there are a lot of brands but these brands all buy the panels from 2-3 panel makers, 2-3 sensor makers, 2-3 CPU/GPU makers, ...

It's huge when it has a 5-6" size.
Sure people want 24"+ monitors with those specs not just phones but the panel makers can't be bothered because the small panels sell more and profit more right now. Stop buying phones and crap, you will see how fast they will start to shift focus elsewhere to get back their profits.

I don't know where people are getting this TN nonsense.
Samsung making new TN panels? Since when? They've been making mostly PLS and VA for eternity now.
CFG70 was VA, no reason for CHG70 to be something else.

Sure maybe the SHG70 will be who knows what, but that's it, no one knows, they never said. Still offering a new TN monitor in 2017 that's not 200Hz+ is nuts.

How does it seem so, if the 1440p QD asus is a TN?

I don't really care about price, I've been sitting on my budget for 3 years waiting for a good one tongue.gif
