Zowie EC series special gloss edition - Page 14

I ordered from zowie direct. I also don't have issue with scroll wheel like plyr unfortunately did but will update you if anything happens!

The new stock skates are really good too! I don't feel like I need hypers on it. After a lot more usage it's obvious they made the lmb/RMB more in line with their za series in terms of a better click. If I go between my old one and new one the new one is notably better!

skates and side buttons have definitely improved over the black version. the mousewheel sits a bit lower on my unit as well. clicks sound very hollow tho

I'm a sucker for gloss white mice. Just picked this up from box.co.uk which has them for £55 delivered in the U.K. My expectations are low given the way Zowie have gone after Benq but nice to hear there's some improvements. Do feel a bit dirty for supporting Zowie with such a minor change but Zowie gonna Zowie

Ok so finally got the issue plyr was talking about - when you push the middle mouse button inward it can get stuck sometimes.. hasn't happened during actual scrolling though. Not sure if it will go away or a permanent issue. Regardless doesn't stop me from using it

Its perfect here after I scraped a bit of the plastic with a metal tool. Its even better then out of the box... tongue.gif

Yeah that's going to void the warranty though, no? I think I need to find out how to contact them to make them aware of this issue - if one more user who gets it reports that they can get the scroll wheel stuck by actuating it please let me know so I can take a report to them via e-mail.. 3 people minimum seems like a good amount that there may be a whole bad production batch

Shame that it's the only issue though cause this is def one of the better ECs I've laid hands on

Theres no seal that you can void by opening it. Besides, I dont think they will ever get this right... biggrin.gif

Its the way the plastic is made to accommodate the wheel, they have to change the engineering itself and make new mice to fix this.

Hardly ever use scroll click, regular scrolling much better.
Scroll click when you need to scroll very long, but hardly ever biggrin.gif
