It's decent, among the thickest among the glossy mice. I've been "torturing" the ec2a glossy white for 2 weeks now and it's still as new (torturting = no cleaning hands before using, using the mice right after eating orange/other acidic food ...etc). So in term of durability it's quite good. Not brave enough to test the coating again my cat's claw but I'm pretty sure no mice would survive that anyway
Still one major downsize for the thick coating is that it retains heat, and it's quite noticable. If your hands can notice some mice increased heat with the led on then you'll surely notice the same with the Ec2a. Holding the mouse for a long time is quite uncomfortable for me, especially since it's summer here; taking short breaks in between works though.
