hello guys, I am looking for some help of a good place to buy laptop components. Usually I just use ebay, but sometimes parts are not available there.

Anyone have any pointers?

Anything specific? Brand new stuff or stuff that is a bit older? I have seen a bunch of stuff at http://www.ascendtech.us/laptop-notebook-parts_c_ltpc.aspx . I haven't bought from them in a while and never picked up any notebook stuff, but they do have a lot to choose from.

Nothing really specific. Some times I need bottoms of laptops. Sometimes screens. Like I said, usually I go to ebay, but if I could find other sources it would be nice.

Kleer Kut - I booked marked that site. Thanks

Cakewalk - iFixIt is too edgy for me. Everything just seems expensive.

Picked up NOS (new old stock) bezels and a replacement motherboard for my Lenovo Y570 from AliExpress. The prices and models offered were better than similar listings on Ebay.

Double-check part & SKU numbers when it comes to items like motherboards. Most sellers have good quality photos you can use to compare.

Surprisingly quick shipping since everything was coming from across the big drink.

If you know the model number of the screen in question, that and the motherboard, you can USUALLY find whta is needed on Ebay. I did recently myself. Found the better screen that this Inspiron can handle and it's gorgeous by comparison. biggrin.gif
