I still am an intel fan - and will likely go Skylake-X or whatever is next, but this competition is good for all of us. Go AMD Go smile.gif

AMD has completely disrupted Intel, and what we are seeing on the consumer front is small beans compared to the Enterprise/Data Center.

I hope this is true but it seems more like it was made up out of thin air. More like a wish list than some information that a person actually received to indicate that it's true.

It would basically be a prosumer version of the upcoming Naples server platform. It's very plausible.

Just end up spending more for an inferior product.
lol?
except you maybe don't want to be CPU limited while gaming.

You do realize that this thread provides nothing other than a quote from a forum post that quotes another translated forum post, right? The original poster even goes on to take a screenshot of the Anandtech thread for actually believing it.

Does this show us how much Intel has sandbagged even in the server markets? Obviously Intel has had iirc 18 Core CPU's for a while now. I welcome AMD's willingness to break the glass.

Likewise you can get R710s that support DDR3-1333, but only if you single rank them (3 sticks per CPU), because they'll drop to 1066 and 800 if you try and dual/triple them. It's the same on every motherboard.

My post was mostly sarcasm against some of the critics, but that aside that could be good news on the memory front. Really though i will wait for ryzen now if this is coming and has more pcie lanes and can oc.
