Ok...

just found a way to increase vcore more than bios allows for the GA-AB350-Gaming 3.

You use AMD Ryzen Master software to increase your base VCORE. Then you can get more than the offset allows in bios with it's max off -+0.300V thumb.gif

New adventures await!

Though I wonder how safe 1.5 volts really is. biggrin.gif

Bricked?

Ok, so I was finally happy with my setup, and haven't touched any settings for several days and now... it's dead?

Everything was working fine last night, I haven't touched anything, turned the computer off. This morning when I wake up, computer won't turn on. Take the side panel off, the power light on the motherboard isn't even on. Unplug everything, press power button, wait several hours, still doesn't work upon re-connection. mad.gif
Gigabyte X370 Gaming 5, Build is "Alicorn" in my Sig.

Yes, the PSU switch is on.
I've tested the PSU using the "short the green wire to black" method, and it turns on, I can hear my disk drive / hard drives spin up.
I've tried Resetting the BIOS, even though that shouldn't make a difference, since the power light isn't even lit.
I've tried switching the the backup BIOS, just in case, still no difference.
EDIT: Also tested PSU with psu tester, all rails seem fine.

Is there any chance my Motherboard really has spontaneously died overnight?

Happened to me a couple of nights ago.

All I did to bring it back was:

* Pull the power cable
* Remove CMOS battery
* Wait 10-15 minutes
* Put them back in.

Huh, haven't tried taking the CMOS battery out yet. Would have thought the normal BIOS reset would have worked.
Will do so and reply back in 10 minutes or so.

Yup, that fixed it!

...Definitely not very reassuring that something like that can happen with no fooling around with anything.

I suppose if it doesn't happen again, it's no big deal, but if this happens on a regular basis, I will probably become somewhat disappointment with Gigabyte...

Got my board and cpu today.
oc to 3700mhz stock cooler.
ram corsair 16gb 3000mhz runs at 2933mhz.

OC easy enough to 3.7 question how to tweak as the board use offset?
tried 3.8 but it locked up.

figured out the bios, thx to google.
