That is cool, but I wonder if there is any sense upgrading from 144p, IPS 165Hz G-Sync just for HDR and Quantum. Especially if I have zero BLB on my perfect unit, so only HDR difference really... And Price for 1440p one will probably be around 1200-1300 range mad.gif

I really really really hoped they will announced Ultra Wide with simillar specs or at least 32' 4K monitor.

The news are depressing. There's literally nothing exciting. If you want a fast IPS at 1440p (because there's squat at FHD), you can get the AUO panel montors like the PG279Q (assuming you don't give up after your 5th RMA), or... well, or nothing, because ever since January 2015 there's no competition. almost 2,5 years and we're still stuck at the same crappy panel, and sure there's samsung... which is only 0,5 year away biggrin.gif

also... hah, that's funny.

Well look at that, people are now calling you blind because you don't like what they don't like. Sounds familiar? biggrin.gif

Now you know how it feels like to be on the "other side". Karma, bro.

The LG 32UD99 got listed again. I find the input to be odd, though. It only has displayport 1.2

Why is that odd? It's only a 60 Hz display.

My mistake. I thought displayport 1.2 does not support HDR @ 4k @ 60hz. It was because I read that the 38UC99 was 3840x1600 and because it's smaller than 3840x2160, it has more bandwidth for more framerate at 75fps for that monitor.

Competition with new, groundbreaking technologies (this and Dell's OLED) is such an amazing thing!

I can't wait to see if these specs are truly real. It would be excellent to have HDR capable LCD tech as an option in case Samsung's OLED panels prove to suffer from uneven wear or IR.
