Hello everyone,
I have recently just for fun tested playing without a mousepad on my wooden table, and it feels that on my high sensitivitiy I can do micro-adjustments much more consistently than with my cloth pad, which seems to fit to the recommendations in some other threads to use hard pads for a high sens. The problem with my table (besides obvious surface inconsistencies) is that my palm really glues to the table, making longer wrist movements barely possible.
Does any of you guys know a good hard pad that doesn't "glue" to my wrist at the slightest moisture? I have tried the Zowie GTF-X some time ago, but sent it back because it wouldn't become flat. Maybe I should give it another chance...
Thanks in advance for constructive input.
Hi Taleb,
I have a Rocketfish Hard Gaming Mouse Pad (Silver Edge) that I've used for many years without any issues. A recent good search found that there may be a new(?) version that has red instead of silver on it. It has two sides, one for speed (smooth), one for control (ever so slightly textured)
G-TFX is really the best one IME, sadly it doesn't lay flat- as you said.
I am currently using the Cougar Speed 2 but I have had to lower my sensitivity a bit since I don't feel as comfortable making small adjustments with it. it's good though, just not perfect.
really liking the texture/feel of it for my wrist though. super smooth, and quite cushiony.
Roccat Alumic is very good
It has 2 sides, one control side with a bit of texture and a speed side.
It also comes with an VERY nice wrist gel pad, one of the nicest i have ever used.
