1440p on 4K HDMI switch?

So I've had a lot of issues with DP, and I want to move on. I use game consoles on the same monitor, and this one does not have a DVI because it was trying to sport DP. So currently the HDMI switch I have only max outputs 1080p. I want one that can handle 1440p because currently I'm using AMD VSR to do native res, otherwise it says recommended is 1920x1080 as a max resolution. So before I bought any more wires, because I have bought and returned several lately, can a 4k HDMI ready switch do 1440p 60hz?

https://www.amazon.com/Weize-Enhanced-Switcher-Picture-Picture/dp/B01MCYHYQQ/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1490315635&sr=1-8&keywords=4k+hdmi+splitter+4+in+1+out&refinements=p_72%3A1248879011

This is the HDMI switch I was looking at. The price seems right. My logic says if it does 2160p then it does 1440p, but for all I know it could ignore anything besides 1080p or 4K. And I cannot find a product page for this or about any others with in-depth information.

Thanks for any advice on this.

If it does not specifically state 60hz, at your resolution, I would not assume that it is. I was just spot checking several devices and the ones that do have those specs are all 30hz at 4k and most are 30hz at 1080p. Some are as high as 120hz at 1080p, but none say anything about 1440p.

Well I bought one anyway. My current HDMI switch is rated 1920x1200@60hz max for PC but its working on 1440p 60hz right now. I just needed a bigger one. I'll report on it on Tuesday. But if it has HDMI 1.4B than it can in fact do 1440p@60hz no problem. HDMI 1.3 is rated for 2560x1440@60hz. Should be ok.

So yea I'm going off the HDMI spec rather than what is listed in descriptions.

So for anyone who cares, this HDMI switch does 1440p@60hz perfectly. I'm actually doing a weird chain where game consoles go "Consoles>HDMI switch>Hauppauge HD PVR2>4K HDMI Switch>Monitor" and that works too. PC is connected directly to the first. No added delay, 60hz working flawlessly.

The timing of your post was great for me! I just came upon this problem myself after receiving this switch in the mail:

https://www.amazon.com/Expert-Connect-Splitter-Switcher-XboxOne/dp/B014RSQ20C/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

I was pretty excited to use it for my work setup, but I run dual 1440p...and lo and behold I had assumed since it was HDMI 1.4 and 4K it could handle 1440p. It doesn't actually list support for 1440p tho, so my goof.

That being said, I'd love to get things working with it if I can. Did you have to adjust any settings to get yours to work with 1440p? I noticed the 3D support is only at 1920×1080p/24 Hz for 1.4 so I'm wondering if that's turned on somewhere for me and I need to disable it.
