well I upgraded from a ivy bridge(3570K) to a 7700K.
well the 7700K is quite a hot chip,im getting 79.c running Intel Burn test at stock clocks
coming from a I5 to a I7,i gained a few extra frames
I guess what I'm saying is I could have gotten a 1080TI instead of the 7700K,because I think my 3570K could have gone
one more GPU series easily
I game at 5760x1080p,60hz
and like I said the 7700K is a hot chip,if your an overclocker like me you will have to delid,im going to.
If you're just gaming stay with what you have, jumping to Kaby Lake isn't going to provide much of a difference unless you're into media creation.
Vega is coming... so why not wait for reviews.

Chips with higher TDP are obviously going to run hotter. Don't listen to people who claim delidding is going to create better performance and a cooler chip. It's unnecessary, especially when several options are available to cool a processor to sub-30c temperatures... among that proper airflow.
