hey guys welcome to the 1000topic someone discusses mousegrip

so id like to start off saying mousegrip is the method we use to aim and there are more efficient methods than others to achieve stuff, so preference is a very little part of it if any!

im one of the few that uses 100% fingertip grip and actually mastered it at one point! and with alot of time put in i can say it is GARBAGE and shouldn't be used in anything related to FPS

-long story short fingertip is way harder than anyother to learn and be good with, gives you hand/wrist pain
-makes you inconsistent specially in flick shooting and spraying wich is a big deal
-almost impossible to find a good mouse
-its just not good for cs or anygame that doesnt run high sensitivities (eDPI is probably very different from game to game but i would say anything above 3500eDPI shouldnt be played with fingertip)

anyway that was just the intro im thinking about switching to palm/claw wich i have no idea how to, and have some questions

good mouse for palm/claw? 20.5cm hands wich requires a big mouse also sweat quite alot so glossy finishes are not good

how do you spray with palm/claw? i see no possible way to spray since my hand is touching the mouse should i move my arm or is there someway to move the hand down without lifting the arm??

and finally palm or claw? altough they are very similar wich would give the most advantage in a game of low-mid sense(1500edpi) like cs, and wich would be easier to transition to from fingertip i've been using since im like 5 years old?

Thanks in advanced boys

IMO preference really is all of it - that and what keeps your hand from cramping. As I posted in another thread:

I mean, in my mind I like to think that all L33T players use fingertip/claw for delicate precision as palm is for lazy troglodyte noobs who like to shove things but uhhh can't imagine any real difference until your hand cramps
Of course, I'm between a fingertip and claw personally and a) don't experience fatigue/cramps, b) am very good at flick shots, c) don't spray because I can aim/take headshots, d) am comfortable with my mouse, e) am usually in the top two or three of whatever lobby I'm in playing FPS shooters at 800dpi on a 1080 monitor (okay, not always top 2 or 3

).

So maybe it is all a matter of subjective preference?

ScreaM uses fingertip grip and he's at 1000ish eDPI and is very good at all of the aforementioned aspects of playing CSGO

with a medium sized ergo mouse (FinalMouse ergo custom).

I also use fingertip grip with a large ergo mouse, tt eSports Ventus X Optical. with hands slightly smaller than yours. works fine

Like I said, #FingerTipMasterRace, looks like OP's hands weren't l33t enough!

For real though just let your hand rest and relax as if you were holding a mouse for ten minutes and use that grip.

Any perception you have about the efficiency of particular grip is going to be subject to a particular users (like each individual's) a) hand and fingers relaxed position, b) muscle dexterity, c) comfort with mouse, d) muscle memory, etc ad infinitum.

As you've learned, you can try and tame the #MasterGrip but it'll just make your hands hurt and your aim worse if it doesn't come #MastNaturally.

An advantage of fingertip movement is that it is much less demanding on the precision of your sensor-wrist alignment.

In palm grip it is restricted to one of three modes:
