They only offer that to Prime members, which there are a ton of us. Physical stores simply can't compete with it. Amazon is able to do it because we Prime members make up for it with a lot of other spending.

My poor bank account when I got prime. I'll even pay the markup on anything even if it's 15 extra bucks just because their customer service is all about their customers, they've always had my back even with some really oddball issues.

Sorry for the loss of jobs, but a lot of these are just going bye bye. The big boys as well; Sears is almost dead and JC Penney not far behind.

Darn, Circuit City. I miss that store. Was a sad day when that store closed in the city nearby.

Thankfully, Dothan (the city nearby) is growing to a crazy degree. 2nd n Charles is awesome to spend hours in.

You mean to say Circuit City stores around here (Montgomery stores) were.... Great at one time?

Geez - I missed it. redface.gif

Haven't seen or heard of a 2nd in Charles here (Yet) and noted all the locations are equally distant from here too so.... I guess they have plans to eventually setup one here....... One day.

? I don't live near Montgomery. That is northern territory to me. tongue.gif

It is a 30 min drive to Florida boarder for me.

I miss Hollywood video. This is a dead company walking. I just don't see how they can remain sustainable. The PC crown they've lost completely imo. You have Steam, Origin, Uplay, and GWL. So there's that. The only other thing that kept the PC users to them was physical disks but those have quickly become the exception and are no longer the norm. Console gamers are getting more and more introduced to buying online. Once that goes full force then they go. No amount of Chinese factory plastic trash and cell phones are going to keep them alive.

Oh and now you have Best Buy, Amazon, and Gamefly. How are they not abandoning ship immediately? It seems like a nightmare scenario for the shareholders.

Gamestop served me well once.

Mortal Kombat 9 came out, and banned in Australia, at the time my parents were in Hawaii and i called them to pick me up a copy upon their return from a Gamestop store.

RIP Gamestop.

The thing that really kicked me in the crotch about CC closing was that my little town finally got one in a brand new fancy shopping center (which I was so excited about) and 6 months later they all shut down. :/
