[Build Log] Thermaltake View 31 - Page 3

Need some help please. I am building my first PC and I set my sight on this case. The problem I have is that I intend to use 2x360 radiators (one slim 25mm on top and one 40mm in front) and I don't know if my reservoir will fit behind the radiator and have enough clearance for my GPU.
The components I want to use are:

Thermaltake view 31TG
Asus Maximus IX Formula Motherboard (bought)
Intel i7 7700 Kaby Lake (bought)
Asus Rog Poseidon 1080TI (bought) 29.8 x 15.8 x5 Centimeter

GSkill Trident 16Gb 3200mh RGB (bought)
EK 140 D5 pump/reservoir combo
EK slim 360 radiator (25mm)
EK performance radiator (40mm)
PETG tubing
EVGA G3 850W power supply

There's plenty of room. The rad I have in front is around 50mm thick and a res can easily fit between the gpu and fans on the rad.

My 45° extrusion channel came today ... just the right length. Q: How do you attach the channel to the case?

I attached the one to the top by using zip ties since it was over an area that has a bunch of holes. Another method would be to use 3M mounting tape.

Love the build! I should have this case tomorrow.

Could you tell the the psu cover would interfere with the vertical gpu mount?

Thanks. It's a great case. It has some small QC issues, but overall I really like it. Yes, there's plenty of room for the vertical mount option with the PSU shroud in it.

Awesome! My setup now is the black/blue nzxt s340, x62 kraken, i7-6700k, anarchy 16gb ram,evga g2 850w,and evga ssc 970.

I was actually sold on the Rosewill cullinan which has psu cover, can do 3x140mm fans in the front, no gpu vertical mount and only 2 3.5in hdd mounts. I'm definitely excited now. Thank you for taking ur time showing us your build.

Hey, nice build!

I'm currently having Define C and it can't really fit any radiators so I'm currently planning on using that case for my first custom loop.

@Inelastic I don't really know should I use PM for this or can I use this thread so I'm using spoilers because of that: Questions for Inelastic or other View 31 owners (Click to show)
Can you tell how much space there is on both ends of the 360 radiator? I actually already ordered this case and I was thinking of using 360+280/360 rads depending if I can fit two 360s or not, but I'd assume 360+280 is enough for Ryzen 1700 + 1080Ti. Also if I'd go with 2x 360 rads, the other would probably be X-flow (G1/4 on both ends) and that's a little longer than normal 360s (413mm VS ~395-400mm). How about radiator thicknesses? Is there any restrictions? 45mm rads will probably go easily?

And how about the front fans? Do you think they push enough air through the front rad if placed outside of the frame (inside of the front panel) or do they suffer from that?

I was planning on using the vertical GPU and X-flow rad on top to shorten the tubes.
Sketch of my vision (Click to show)

The View 31 is a really nice case and with a little bit of imagination you can mod the case to make it yours.
If you want to cool the MB then maximum thickness on the top radiator is 30mm, that will give you enough space for fans and the hard tubing coming out from MB. The front radiator can be as 60mm thick but you will have to sacrifice a bit the overall look.
