Titan X Pascal SLI sync & voltage limit errors in afterburner

Hey guys,

I have recently purchased my second Titan X Pascal card and in general have been really pleased with the performance of the pair in SLI. I have however noticed in a few games that although the FPS is very high, I have had some very noticeable stutter and frame skipping.

Upon further investigation I found that I am getting constant SLI sync and voltage limit errors in afterburner. Both cards were overclocked (no extra voltage applied though) so I set both to default and ran 3d mark. I had the exact same experience in 3dmark.

I on a Maximus IV Formula using x16 pcie 3.0 slots running at 8x and using the provided hard (high bandwidth) SLI bridge.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Welcome to SLI/CF love/hate relationship. Some games are better optimized/supported then others.

I have used SLI since way back and this is far from my first adventure.

I just dont recall seeing constant blips in afterburner. From the googling I have done it does seem to reduce performance when you see the status change from 0 to 1.

I just want to know what is causing them? SLI bridge?

Maybe, some people had good results by replacing their bad bridges, but the odds of that is low.
