Honestly I'm more excited about StarCraft remaster, will see if it's just a texture swap or more, plus making current SC+BW free.
Q3A was great and relatively simple, where as today people want more complicated characters with special abilities to troll, will see how much Bethesda caves in to the popular crap of today and how much it stays a fast simple shooter that's about skill and reflexes instead of picking the most OP character.

Same here, Startcraft Remaster and this new Quake... hopefully they don't disappoint!

The thing about quake though, was that it was simple and super fast paced, that's why I liked it personally. However I thought they are going more class based with this one?

I grew up with the original Quake, played all the others also to try them at the very least and do the campaigns, <3 the quake universe. With OW success i guess other game producers are trying to get a piece of that action, problem is that OW is class based as, if i recall right, Quake never had classes and that changes everything in the gameplay.

The one arena fps i boot from time to time and still find ppl online is UT99, pure skillz. Was hoping this Quake arena would go that way also but seems not... stats? really? wth....

Well if they stick with that i guess this will be the 1st Quake title i won't try out. If i wanted comical skill and classes i go play CoD. In the meanwhile i will play the open pre-alpha for UT4 and help EPIC with some feedback in the hopes it turns out a good pure skillz arena fps thumb.gif

Guys. The Beta lasts during the weekend, then it's closed while they work on it and open it again the next weekend. At least that's how it's gone so far. The game will be in Beta for a long time. Visit the official Beta forums for the sticky when the beta opens again, which is currently set for April 27 at 10am ET until April 30 at 4pm ET. thumb.gif
