Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm looking for for a WQHD ultra wide monitor with at 100hz. As of now it stands between Samsung C34F791, AOC AG352UCG or Asus MX34VQ.

But suddenly a new monitor came up on my price comparison site, and it's cheaper than all of the monitors mentioned above (at least here in Norway, about $35 cheaper than Asus MX34VQ).

I don't find this monitor mentioned anywhere other than different web shops.

Noticeable specs for Philips Brilliance X-line 349X7FJEW:
LCD panel type: VA LCD
Panel Size: 34 inch / 86.36 cm
Curved Screen: Yes 1800R
Optimum resolution: 3440 x 1440
Response time (typical): 4 ms
Contrast ratio (typical): 3,000:1
Signal Input: DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4 x 1, HDMI 2.0 x 1

Noticeable techs and other stuff:
Adaptive Sync Technology: AMD FreeSync
Flicker-free: Yes
Picture enhancement: SmartImage game
USB 3.0x4 (1 w/fast charging)
Built-in Speakers: 5 W x 2

What do you guys think?
I guess it's hard to say if this got anything to compare against the other monitors except price, but if anyone got anything please share smile.gif

I guess we won't hear anything before someone gets their hands on it. Here in Norway one webshop expect the monitor to arrive this week already, but others isn't expecting before May.

It's not an very exiting monitor, except the price and I like the style, but if it ranks over Samsung and Asus in future reviews I may buy it.

Doesn't look like it's a 100hz monitor which explains why it's cheaper.

According to the dutch manual (page 18) it can do 100hz, but 60hz is recommended for best picture quality. No idea what that exactly means.

I wonder that myself, lets hope its not a feature just for amd card users only. Could it be a feature in the "Smart Image"-gaming settings?

Still no clear answer that this monitor supports 100Hz native. I've asked Philips through twitter and they forwarded my question to a local team, still waiting for a reply.

I got a reply from Philips if this monitor supports 100Hz native:
For 349X7FJEW, both DP1.2 and HDMI 2.0 port can support 3440x1440@100Hz. There is no relation between Freesync and 100Hz smile.gif

Prices have gone up in the Netherlands. You could get it for €800 as a preorder, now it 's up to a €1000.

That's a bummer if you were planning on buying. I'm still "window shopping", waiting for more hands down reviews while im also waiting to see how Vega will preform as I will need a new card to run a monitor like this.
