Floaty mouse in Windows10 (creators update) - Page 5

I'm playing as normally as 24 hours ago. I'm alright.

Try out the setting first. Turn on the msi mode on your gpu(nvidia) and adjust the timer to 0.5 cause i see no way you cant feel the change, its day and night!

Is it solely a GO issue? Across all my shooters (the 8 or so I play in rotation on a regular basis) I'm not having issues.

This setting makes the game run in fullscreen borderless, not exclusive, just so the ****ty game bar can overlay the game.

Unticking the checkbox for "Show Game bar when I play full screen games Microsoft has verified" under the new Gaming settings worked for me. Exclusive fullscreen works without the need to set the compatibility flag for each executable.
Please note that it is not enough to switch off "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game Bar", you must untick the checkbox as well. I must admit that this behaviour is a little confusing and poorly explained.

game mode adds terrible stuttering in OW and battlefront i might add

I'm just one step away from "upgrading" to windows 7, this has to be the worst win10 update ever !!

I think gaming in "Windowed" or "Full Screen Borderless Windowed" mode uses a bit more resources? Like more CPU resources than normal?

So if your CPU is not beefy enough it may stutter?

I don't know about resources but anything not in true full-screen has always had slightly lower framerates - I think it's because it will draw the desktop in the background or something to that extent.. just a guess.

I disabled game mode and game DVR entirely from the options and would probably recommend others do the same. I know MS intents are to improve performance but it's far too new and anything not implemented in the game engine or processor itself doesn't seem like something I'd want to intervene.. that's just my thinking process though I don't have any info to back that up

Not sure if its the new nvidia driver, the update, or overwatch itself lol - yeah I don't have a floaty mouse either

I had the exact same thing... computer just completely turned off and rebooted itself. Right during overtime of a comp match when i was on the point with my team.. I'm sure they were real thrilled. I was thrilled with the 100 point loss... :/ Never happened before updating to the creators update(nor has it again).

Go to advanced system settings > Startup and Recovery > In "System Failure" uncheck "Automatically restart". It should at least tell you the reason why it reboots it self.

Oh yeah mine was a power outage - it's just funny with the timing. I've never had an issue since then. It wasn't a normal outage though cause nothing turned off in my room so first thing I went to blame was the updates. I found out after checking the event viewer built into windows and it said it was a power issue. Just type event viewer in the search bar and you can see the critical warnings on why the pc restarted - look up the error code or read the message

Mine says power issue, too. I thought the power went out ,but, like you-- nothing else in the office went down. Certainly odd.
