As the title says. Going to mount 1080ti flat. I've come to understand it needs to be 16x and 3.rd gen. Got 3 to choose from and alternative choises welcome. What could be the best one in quality.

Gotta sorry the first page is my own language, but two others can be changed to english from up right corner of the page.

Does the riser affect negatively on performance? Any how I have use it since my case desing doesn't allow high GPu card smile.gif

Thx in advance

I recommend getting the lian-li one. I got one with my thermaltake case and it didn't work at all with my gtx 970's. I read that its due to the way they shield the pins. Only the higher end like 3M / lianli risers would guarantee full compatibility with no loss in capacity.

That one looks like it COULD be properly shielded, I'm not sure.

Thx. Checked all more thoroughly and noticed that only in Lian-Li mentions it supports 3rd gen, going to pin point checking possible reviews on that one. So in if there doesn't show up any other alternatives I'll go with it smile.gif Gotta pay also attention to the protection.

Now tested the Lian Li riser cable and it works great. with gtx 970. Without it BF1 and R6 siege fps 60 and same with riser cable.
OCd even a bit better than without the riser since put card out of the case, tried fire strike ultra.

I'll add results here later.

If any one else considering of PCIe riser could now recommend too Lian Li PW-PCI-E30-1 PCI-E 16X Gen3 Riser, 300 mm with thick wiring.

Good to know, thanks for the feedback. smile.gif

I would only like to note that technically the riser should not be reason for improvement in the card's performance - perhaps the discrepancy you've observed is within the margin of error?

Nope it doesn't improve performance but got my card OUT OF THE CASE so there was more air to cool and spread around the heat better wink.gif thats the reason. only observed could it have had negative effect on performance, it had none. that was my point. I gotta check more what I write xD

Ah, yes. Perfectly valid, just didn't occur to me without context. smile.gif
