Apparently it's a 'beast' with a slow Jaguar CPU. Apparently the games will look 'next-level' but it won't have any exclusives, and all games made for it will be hamstrung by the old, weak 1.3TF Xbox One.

And in terms of price, whilst I reckon it will 'only' come in at $399, by that time the PS4 Pro will be $299 all the other consoles under $250.

Keep in mind if you are a Xbox fan you are playing most new games at 720-900p. Going to 4K is huge. Is bigger than going from Xbox 360 to Xbox One in terms of graphics. You do not have to sit 10 feet away from your TV to play console games. I know people use this argument but because how detailed the worlds are you want to sit as close as you do for PC.

Same thing happen with the OG Xbox, it was more powerfull than the PS2, devs just dont see the point when the sales were so against it. Maybe in two years the gap will close and the Scoprio could show the better hardware.

Sony since the PS1 always announce or lauch their new consoles 6 years later of the launch of the former, PS1 1994, PS2 2000, PS3 2006, PS4 2013. Its safe to say that we could see the PS5 by the end of 2019.

According to the numbers, the Scorpio will be about 1.4 times the PS4 Pro....the OG PS4 is 1.4 times the OG Xbone One...so yes, the biggest difference will be res, just like the PS4 and Xbox One.

PS2 has crap graphics compared to the xbox on most multiplat games.

Just like 360 had better graphics for the first half of its life by a noticeable margin.

Problem with PS4 vs XB1 is that the CPU was the same and both GPU's could handle pretty much the same thing other than res.

The XB1-S will have DX12 offloaded from the CPU for the most part, along with a more balanced GPU. Difference between the PS4 Pro and XB1-S will be bigger than the PS4 and XB1 ever was. Just too many hardware optimizations going on with the XB1-S, while PS4 Pro is off the shelf GPU replacement.

XB1-S will have noticeable better graphics. And will make for better PC ports.

Yeah. Main reason for that is that CPU and MS has better APIs.

I remember playing James bond, fifa, fifa street, NBA street.... They looked good in game cube, looked terrible on ps2... But on the Xbox the visuals were on a different level.

Ps2 had some impressive games like God of War, but only the xbox had games like halo 2. Which is not the only game the xbox had that simply looked nextgen compared to the rest of the console games.

The jump to the 360/ps3 is underrated imo. Don't forget for nearly a year the 360 was the most powerful gaming machine on the planet, even compared to PCs. And was the first time you could get large game worlds on a console that didn't look like a blocky mess. Granted fable and morrowind did a nice job for their age. What the 360/ps3 consoles pulled off at the end of their lifetime with the memory constraints is impressive. But even from the start games like oblivion was a huge step forward. Not to mention online advancements MS pretty much pioneered and turned into a standard for the industry.

Dual gpu systems back then was a hit or miss.

1950xtx was the fastest card on the planet back then, and the xbox 360 had a custom gpu that is "better". Based on the same arch but replaced PP/VS and used shades cores. Same cores that would make the terascale arch that powered ATIs dx10 cards. It was no doubt the fastest gaming system. Only cf 1950xtx could be faster when only it worked to full effect. And Not to mention the overhead on PC's.

The 360 gpu was the reason the 360 had better graphics for most of its life compared to the ps3. Wasn't till the 8800gtx came out we had a faster single gpu on pc compared to consoles.

OG Xbox and 360 were mostly untouchable at release.

Plus the 3 core 6 thread cpu in the 360 while PCs were still struggling with dual cores
