If you demand to believe that that had no effect on sales that is your own issue to deal with.

2. Scoprio won't have exclusives. End of story. Maybe your issue is that you don't understand what exclusive means. Exclusive means that it can't be played anywhere else. Not on PC, not on PS4, not on Gameboy. Nowhere else. I don't care if Microsoft makes money selling PC games. This is about Xbox One sales. Not having exclusives did not help Xbox One sales at all.

How can you miss what I wrote, twice? Are you telling me that people knew 3 years in advance that MSFT would try to unify the Xbox platform with Windows PCs? And no, it isn't my issue to deal with. You need to take a basic logic course, as argumentation seems beyond you. You are the one claiming that Play Anywhere is hurting the Xbox platform. You made the claim, you need to offer up proof. Personal opinion does not equal fact.

I find it oddly hilarious that you are telling people to wait on news regarding the price of the console, yet you have no qualms blurting out that the console will be overpriced. I don't even know what to say at this point. But I guess that is to be expected from someone who keeps speaking in absolutes. Contradictions all over the place.

And you still fail to see the larger point - Play Anywhere is exclusive to MSFT. You can argue semantics all you want, but it doesn't change that fact. Whether people buy Microsoft IPs for their PC or their Xbox, MSFT stands to gain (or lose).

People do not get it when it comes to consoles sales. Even people here seem to think if Xbox exclusives are coming to PC they are not exclusive anymore. They are coming to PC and most certainly to Windows 10 and most certainly to Windows Store and most certainly owned by Microsoft. They also do not understand that Selling a game in PC or Xbox is almost identical for Microsoft especially single player games which did not need Xbox Live. Console Sale do not make money.

Why would they need to know 3 years in advance? Once Microsoft announced that there would be no Xbox One exclusives, everybody knew it. You're right though, I'm the only PC gamer on the planet that didn't shell out $500 bucks because I wasn't too lazy to click on Steam. I chalk up the fact that I was the only person in the history of existence to do that to the fact that everybody else is a moron.

I have no qualms saying that it will be expensive because Microsoft said themselves that it will have a premium price. Chalk up my ability to add 2 + 2 to the proven in the last paragraph fact that I'm a rocket scientist.

Its just an irrational belief, and when you add in all the 'console war' rubbish, it gets even more ridiculous. Purely emotional arguments with no substance. I see so many people always arguing about which console has sold more, and how the PS4 is selling twice as much as the Xbox. That would be a big deal without some context, but I highly doubt that MSFT is hurting when they have 25+ million consoles sold, have one of the most popular accessories in the tech world, a large Xbox Live userbase, and now they have the ability to funnel that userbase on to their Win10 platform (love it or hate it, though mostly hate it), with the added ability to potentially have their Win10 userbase dip into the Xbox platform.

But no, let's talk about how the Scorpio will fail...because Microsoft. rolleyes.gif

Can't believe I'm defending Microsoft. For shame. redface.gif

I literally have no idea what you're arguing about at this point.

You said everyone knew PS4 would have exclusives, but the XB1 wouldn't.

Then you switched up to saying everyone knew Sony would have sequels for their existing IPs for the PS4...and implied that somehow no one had the foresight to see MSFT would do the same...lol.

Then you said that XB1 sales were hurt by the Play Anywhere aspect...even though that feature has only been around since October. This is where you seemed to have lost all your bearings for this argument. You also offer no proof at all that Xbox sales have been hurt by this move. Literally nothing, nada.

On top of that, you still can't seem to comprehend where MSFT is going with Play Anywhere, and cross platform consolidation. You essentially keep arguing that MSFT exclusives are exclusive...to MSFT. And that they're hurting MSFT. eh-smiley.gif

When did they announce their would be no exclusive?

They are now Microsoft exclusives.

Smart move by Microsoft to make more money from games and allow us to play anywhere.
This argument of exclusives is just pure trash. It is your opinion and nothing else. So no one cares. I honestly do not care for a single exclusive that the PS4 has. The only reason I own a PS4 is for the PS Vue as I cut my cable and the savings in 4 months covered the cost of the PS4 itself. Done. Xbox exclusives : Forza (have played and own them all), Halo, Quantum Break, Killer Instinct. I own them and love them. Were the main reason I bought the Xbox and justified my purchase. So no there isn't a single argument you can make to get me to start playing PS exclusives. They are your taste. I have tried a ton of them from PS1 to PS3, hated them all. Uncharted (BORING), God of War (Trash), JRPG's (meh), Devil May Cry (bland flashy combat). Thats my opinion. So this whole "sony exclusives are better" is just nauseating and childish as it is just what you feel not a statement of fact. Now what would be is "sony has XX more exclusive games than xbox." Ok, now we can discuss that but then we get back to, "well that's nice but they could have 800 more but I don't like any of them." No games I want, not worth my money. End of story.

They don't want to use logic anymore and realize that Microsoft made a business choice to make it exclusive to their Windows environment (which the xbox os is essentially a heavily modified version of windows). They are stuck on it has to be exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox "Scorpio" or Xbox. /facepalm

Microsoft in reality just game Sony the middle finger by saying "haha we got more platforms than you"

You're right about Play Anywhere not effecting Xbox One at launch. For some reason I thought it was announced way earlier than that. My bad. Chalk it up to lack of exclusives I had an interest in. I do believe it will effect Scorpio sales though. My belief is that a significant portion of gamers that are interested in 4k gaming also already own PCs. I also think that most of them would rather spend the cost of the console on an upgrade for their existing rigs that will take them far beyond what Scorpio can accomplish. Could I be wrong? Sure. It's happened before during this argument and it probably will again. That's what my crystal ball says at the moment though. If I'm right though, PC gamers will pay $10 for the OS and pirate the games, which will definitely lose MS sales.

So I don't get it. This is suppose to replace the xbox 360 or Xbox one?

Looks like an overclocked xbox 360 with a beefed up chasis for the console gamers who care about sound and heat. Would like to see fully passive cooling system
