Yea that's not the point of the card now is it. Who buys it for price to performance. My 30 dollar watch tells time and date, so does my ap diver that costs 500 times more. Your point being? I buy it so I don't have to wait half a year or more.

How do we get this thing under water?

Absolutely they could. They could have given you that card today for $800 but since people keep buying $1200 GPU faster than they can make them they will keep bending us over and let you pay $1200 now for the card you should have gotten last year and then sell the Ultra for $1500 if the need to release it and just burry their knob a little deeper in your dirt

Or you could be smart with your money and go with a 1080 Ti which will give you about 10 percent less in performance for $500 less. You can even wait and see what Vega brings to the table.

Obviously you can do whatever you want with your cash. Just stating what I plan on doing.

I have 2 tis as well. That's not the point. I am not in it for value. Same argument goes for many things. My wife likes to go enjoy a fine dinning restaurant once a while. The bill for the 2 of us is always over 1k. To me it's a waste I just poop it out but to her it inst. Whether something is worth it or not is relative.

Or, imagine this, we could let people do what they want with their money. I'm pretty sure nobody is buying a Titan with the thoughts of "bang for the buck".
If you are unhappy with NVidia's business model, just don't buy their products - like me. That's a better approach instead of going around and pestering people with your idea of money well spent.

I can't afford spending large so I must consider the bang for the buck options and smart consumer choices. If I had the money, I would buy two of each company's current flagships, torture the crap out of them, and then dedicate their computation time to science. We have a very adequate proverb here in Bulgaria - "Every frog must know its pond." wink.gif

Kinda crazy how you want to pay $1200 for 5-10 more frames. All the power to you though. thumb.gif

I wasn't trying to tell him what to do with his money. Just stating what I plan on doing which is being smart with my cash and stepping up to a 1080 Ti instead of buying a $1200 overpriced card. wink.gif
