I don't know what realistic is on Pascal.

Well, for reference, my 1070 FE's will do +150 on the core 24/7, with an absolute benchmarking cap around 180-190 depending on the benchmark. @ +150, the 1070 FE has a top out boost of roughtly 2050mhz. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay there very long and the card struggles to stay above 2Ghz during normal loads.

Thanks.

Well I guess it makes me wonder if 3800 Cuda at 1900 or a little more if its double the Titan Maxwell or not. Seems like the 1080Ti is just a little under.

I need +225 to get to 2050MHz. Does 1070 FE have higher stock boost?

1866 ~ 2000 ( +134 )
1820 ~ 1950 ( +130 )
1773 ~ 1900 ( +127 )

Wouldn't these be the equivalent if only the core clock was a factor?

On paper, the 1080 actually has higher clocks. However, it looks like the 1080 hits it's "terminus" level more quickly, so it begins throttling sooner than the 1070.

Jayztwocents has a great video that demonstrates the 1080 FE thermal throttle behavior.

What it amounts to is the 1070 has more thermal headroom, so by default, it boosts higher... even though based on specs, it looks like it shouldn't.

Bit late to this news but, http://www.overclock.net/t/1615870/tweaktown-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-spotted-with-10gb-of-ram/50#post_25647393

Post no# 54:
“CynicalUnicorn has hit the nail on the head...and its along the lines of what I and others have been saying for awhile now, Pascal is Keplar all over again..I am just waiting for the '2000' series refresh, which will just be shifting all the segments up one notch (ie: 2070 will just be a 1080 with slight tweaks), until the Titan Black comes out, that will be a full fat GP102, which will mimic the 600 to 700 series transition with a bit of harking back to the 500 series with the old practice of different memory controllers.

It will confirm my suspicions/predictions.” Just one (out of many) of my (and several others) predictions of a full fat GP102 `Titan Black`.

Whoever didn`t see a `Titan Black` of the pascal family coming, was pretty naive.

Whoever didn`t expect a Keplar scenario all over again, obviously doesn`t understand Nvidia`s business model.

If I wasn`t on my phone and in bed, I would of digged back further and found my exact quote predicting the 1000 series to be Keplar all over again.

TXp is GP102.

You are probably right. Need to do more testing.
