Jay's channel has also recently surpassed 1 million subscribers, so this is a commercial relationship that goes both ways. He does have a point that Nvidia's deep learning excuse makes no sense.

And the fact Nvidia released this card unannounced, without anybody being told beforehand or sampled, is kind of awkward. Maybe they now know something about Vega that we don't. I mean, they could have released the card in tandem with the 1080 Ti and avoided all this or they could have waited a few more months and also avoid much of the problem.

What if Nvidia has another sku of GTX 1080 Ti which is = Xp to release right after Vega? How many would people be if they bought Xp as a gaming card? This way Nvidia can prevent that by telling people that you made the choice to use it as a gaming card. Marketing has power.

If vega is right around the corner as we are told to believe, and that it's performance was that close to a 1080ti we would see some cherry picked numbers from AMD already or supposed leaked amd slides showing it.

And they would pay a recipient of a early sample to leak gossip that "overclockers will be very happy with it."

Bad idea to overhype. We actually got best card without leaks. 290X performance was never known. I think even AMD does not know how fast Vega is.

Overhype = AMD as of the past few years. Ryzen just happens to meet the hype for the most part.
Well, if the product meets the hype it's not "overhype".

Fury was overhyped so was bulldozer. I have a fury it's a good card but they overhyped the crap out of it. Overclockers card blah blah. Barely overclocked and now years later it still can't beat a 980ti which I also still have 2 of.

I choose to call it what I want, and there's no confusion to be had when I call it that. I'm not Nvidia's lemming so I'll continue to call it as separate name from the 1st Titan X Pascal card.

Lemming term is debatable considering my 2K Maxwell cards in my current rig :D No worries.

Though If I must explain once again Titan P for Pascal, and X for extra cores makes sense to me. Screw packaging.

I've seen recent posts in this thread even that only mention Titan "Pascal" with charts etc...I'm like which one are they talking about.

Again no worries. No one has to champion my cause lol, be your own man and be secure in your own decisions.
