Is microstutter still an issue with SLI?

I'm debating 1080TI SLI vs Titan Xp.

EDIT: Sorry, I should say that I'm aiming for 4k @ ~150 FPS (not necessarily at max settings, I usually play my games with a FPS-oriented, competitive config)

Teh true Enthusiast's toy.

]nvm tho it's a cut down 35xx cc gpu so we can milk you again if Vega miraculously is faster.[/SIZE]

It will be a new Shield, with a Pascal Tegra.

nVi definitely had some hints about Vega, that's why they pushed 1080Ti and Titan Xp. They always release a Ti to match with something from AMD.

Yeah.

The discussion continues here:

Pretty much the same points that are being discussed about the 1080Ti, lol.

They keep releasing new gpu, with more cores on the core.

What ever happens to dual gpu graphic cards? Did they die off with SLI?

That's pretty much the route I decided to go. Overclocked, I should at least match the performance of my 980ti in SLI without all the SLI issues and more often than not complete lack of support. I do intend on squeezing all the performance out of my single 1080ti, plus I'm going to have an overkill WC loop just for it. biggrin.gif

You have to remember that the Vega we were shown is only using HALF of its memory transmission capacity at 256 bits and is capable of 512 bits - literally twice the memory bandwidth it is using right now.
They showed 8GB /512gb/s and there's supposed to be a 16GB/1024gb/s in Q4 supposedly? It's probably bandwidth capped and you won't see the real one until Q4.
