Getting ready to add another three drives to my current one. Lol. I rip everything 1:1 in mkv files. I use MakeMKV. DVD is 4-5 GB usually. Blueray around 20-30GB. Sometimes bigger. I dont rip the extras though. So, that save a large chunk.

Still having sleep bugs.
I can use my power button to put the computer to sleep, but afterward, I can no longer do it again unless I restart.
My screensaver stops working and it also causes idling to sleep to stop working as well.

Then you have some weird decisions...

-2 different types of font rendering throughout the UI. (I hate Cleartype, but I hate their newest "grayscale" even more.)
-Photos app having a light mode, but uses dark for viewing images.
-Can't change default font.
-Having to use PowerShell to remove apps.
-Redundancies in Settings and Control Panel.
-Anniversary update introducing the wonderfulness of halving your refresh rate if you alt-tab out of a full screen game. (Can be fixed with regedit, but why?)
-Dark mode using black background with white text, which kills my eyes, yet right clicking on the start button reveals the perfect dark gray they could have used as the background color.

At least after 2 years they finally reached parity with Windows 7 when choosing a color for your start menu, taskbar, and title bar.

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with Windows 10. frown.gif
Every update comes at a snails pace, is half-assed, and includes more inconsistencies.

Valve was getting so many reports of poor performance in their games, they made a tutorial!

Doing it via regedit is down at the bottom.

So I installed the update....and that's when everything started going wrong. I started getting freezes ever since the update so I though "why not? lets do a reset, it's been a few years!" now Windows 10 is stuck in the settings menu, rebooting once it's "complete" only to restart the entire process.

Now that in itself would be a "whatever" kind of scenario and I'd just pop in the Win 10 disk but I upgraded mine through Windows 8.1...
If I can't install Windows 10 I'm going to be calling Microsoft and kindly explaining that they owe me a copy of that OS.

You'll be able to clean install Win10 just fine.

Should you install the new Nvidia drivers first? I normally do a fresh install when OS updates like this are released, but I think for the first time, I'm just going to try an update thanks to the OP's recommendation.

I'd install them post-update.
