If you leave LM on there, the shunts WILL fall off, Marc wasn't the only one that suffered from that.

Hwbot Heaven was okay.I didn't do any LOD so that it doesn't become 100% CPU. Utilization was usually in the early 80%, with dips to 70% or jumps to 90%+ (where it hit the PL & downclocked). I tried 5.6 CPU, but kept crashing half way. AIO couldn't keep the CPU under 60C & it crashed above. sad-smiley-002.gif
I will try shaking the pen. I did apply like 3 heavy coats, so far no game. redface.gif
Kneading and shaking the daylights out of it. IDK, I didnt order what i have from amazon, so not sure if it is the same as what you guys have. I've used it in the past and it has worked lowering PL by 5-15%. I haven't needed to use it on TXp yet. After some initial angst with drivers oc utilities, i definitly have a keeper. biggrin.gif Now if i could get my hands on a 6950x rolleyes.gif

My card and block came in today, and when I dismantled the sink there was a thermal pad on the column of chips next to the memory chips. EK's pad diagram doesn't mention putting anything on these (small column left of the "2" pad), and it looks like you'd need a significantly thicker pad to make contact with the EK block.

For anybody who has a TXP2 under water, do these actually need to be sunk, or is it OK to leave them hanging in free air?

You guys are mad. Taking a £1100 video card and drawing all over it with a silver pen! Mad I tells ya!

Theres nothing wrong with it just some people dont feel the 10-15% performance gain over the 1080Ti is worth the extra $500 of their hard earned money. thumb.gif
