Well, I took off the Conductonaut. I tested it (gave it a good tap) to see if it would stay in place in case something happened while it was in the case, and...it slid off. Definitely not safe. The next time I do this, I'll use a small copper wire strand and some hot glue to keep it in place. That should be a realistic permanent way to do it. The hot glue will seal it and keep it from moving around, and it's easily removable when you want to revert to stock, since it will just peel off. It also has a high enough temperature tolerance to keep it from melting under load.

The CLU is an extremely low resistance, I didn't say I couldn't get a reading. I said my equipment wasn't sensitive enough to differentiate between the resistance of a blob of CLU and zero - it's basically a short according to my DMM.
I can read 10 ohms. An order of magnitude is 10X, I can read 1 ohm (1 order) I can read .1 ohm (2 orders) I can't measure less than .01 ohm (3 orders). The blob of CLU is less than .01 ohm, so I can't measure how many orders of magnitude the CLU is from 10 ohms, but it's more than 3.
All we are trying to do is lower the resistance across the shunt resistors, a direct short (zero ohms) has only been shown to work in one instance, so choosing a value greater than zero but less than .01ohm (just guessing, as the blob of CLU is less than .01 ohm by my measurement equipment) is what we're after. If I was guessing, I'd say the parallel resistance needed will be significantly less than .01 ohms.
I get some of what you are saying, but if direct has shown multiple times to show low power state - fail, and voltage controller is reading incoming power, how does reducing the the resistance work? A thin strand of wire has greater resistance than a fatter strand.

That's what I said. We need greater than zero resistance (fat wire, zero resistance - won't work), a thin strand of wire does indeed have greater resistance than a fat strand, but still extremely close to zero. So greater than zero. But how much greater, I can't say. Lower than .01 ohms, as that's the lowest resistance I can measure and CLU is lower than that. So someplace between zero, and whatever a blob of CLU is and I can say with confidence that blob of CLU is less than .01 ohms.

Here is how to get SLI working...

#1 Download Superposition SLI Profile+Tools pack here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/n1y1kigoxhcdlre/Superposition_SLI_Profile_Tools.zip
#2 Extract all to desktop.
#3 Open Geforce 3D Profile Manager, Extract SLI Profiles to your desktop using the Extract SLI Profiles button. A text document called NVIDIA Profiles should show up on your desktop if you extracted the profiles to the correct location.
#4 Open NVIDIA Profiles text document.
#5 Open Superposition SLI Profile text document.
#6 Copy and paste the Superposition SLI Profile into the NVIDIA Profiles text document then save the NVIDIA Profiles text document. Refer to example pic to see how it should look after you have added the Superposition SLI Profile to the NVIDIA Profiles text document.
#7 Open Geforce 3D Profile Manager, Import modified NVIDIA Profiles text document into the nvidia driver using the Import SLI Profiles button.
#8 Enable SLI inside the nvidia control panel if you don't already have it enabled.
#9 Fire up the Superposition Benchmark and enjoy SLI.

this copy and paste did not work for me, but when I just tried to input the superposition profile by itself it worked.
Thanks. I'll try that over the werkend. thumb.gif

I applaud those of you chasing those extra 1 to 2 percent gains with all of these modifications.

For me, I'll continue happily along with my modestly overclocked stock reference cooled Titan Xp cards. That is, until the next greatest thing is released and I end up selling them day one.

Well I'm also in the same boat as you tongue.gif. Though just the one card. I'd say the best bang for the buck mod to do to the card if not wanting to go full custom loop would be to do the hybrid AIO solution. However, I think that looks a bit tacky to do with two cards redface.gif.

My beer goggles got foggy and i was mixing up two different mods. redface.gif. However, I believe .004 ohms would give 20%increase, .003 ohms would give 40%, so forth and so on per resistor. That .005 keeps you in the same place, .002 and .0005 will drop you by 60% and more, which may lead to low power state. I ordered the .004 and .003 this morning.
