There is no option to save profiles, so it's not saved as a profile, but whenever I re-boot, no matter what settings are entered when I power down, it always comes back to +154/+400. I've tried re-set, re-entering my settings, re-boot - 154/400 every time. I'll uninstall the thing and put some different settings in there next time, but I miss the old AB where you could toggle through 5 saved profile, edit profiles, that sort of thing.
been super buggy for me too. i rolled back drivers and seem to be working ok. what driver are you on? i would increase core and mem score would go down each time. only worked for very first OC after reboots.
I get a soft coil whine on top card. can only hear it if glass is off and your pretty close to it.

First of all - hi everyone. :-) Long time lurker, no posts.
Got my Titan Xp on Thursday and yesterday had some time to test it. I've got two questions:

1. What is the average overclock on these? Last week I returned my 1080 ti fe to nvidia to get the titan. I was only able to get +150 on the core on the 1080 ti. This thing seems to be doing +200 stable (not enough testing yet) - is it expected or is it above average?

2. Do you guys have coil whine on your titans?

My last 5 cards all had it - XFX r9 390, MSI r9 390, Palit 1080 Super Jetstream, nvidia 1080 ti fe and now the Titan Xp. Tested on 3 PSUs over the time with not much difference - Corasair CX750W, XFX XTR 750W Gold and now Corsair rm850i. Unless I have grounding issues at my place. I kind of think people who say their cards don't whine at all just don't hear the particular frequency range...

I am a bit worried since my Titan seems to have a bit more whine than the 1080 ti I've just returned... It is almost as bad as MSI r9 390 which really buzzed a lot without capping fps.

The titan buzzes sort of like a taser going off under any load and above 250-300 fps there is also a component of actual whining added. The worst on Heaven benchmark, a bit less on Valley and fine on Firestrike and Timespy. Obviously things like 3d Mark Icestorm, Stone giant or Heaven credits screen with hundreds of fps make it squeak but that's expected. When Heaven starts it's loud enough to really catch your attention from 1 meter and after a few seconds it gets a bit better but you can still hear it a bit over the fan at 70% with your ear next to the case. Granted my case has a lot of openings, so not soundproof.

What's your experience? Would you RMA if mine seems to be fine with +200 on the core? I am worried I may get another one with the same or worse whine and lower overclock headroom.

Many thanks for your help!
Majek
serious question. why care about coil whine if it only happens at 300% higher framerates than you'll ever use? I'd say , be happy , you got a beast of an overclocker.

It's running 381.65. Mine is quiet, that whole rig turned out very quiet. I was afraid a 240 and 280 slim rads with fans on just one side each might have to really ramp up to keep it cool, but it's the quietest rig I have under load - and has the best temps under load. It's Death Bomb in my sig rigs.

Gotcha, but "Power Limit" isn't the same as "Power" in the list. TDP % is "Power".

Nice and compact. I also went for Black Ice Nemesis rad in the rig I'm building, but unfortunately it just doesn't fit into the case because of the extruded sides, few mm shy. So I had to go with alphacool's which is ~10% less effective at thermal dissipation instead ...oh well. How did you paint it with the gravel design?

The front rad came like that. I wish the top was the same, I don't really understand their naming convention - I thought I was ordering two of the same thing. And I had to move the case divider wall over 12mm or so to fit the 280 in the front of the case.

Received my card last Friday. Lots of overclocking CPU, Memory etc.. After I managed a stable the OC on my machine. I threw my block on and ran Time Spy with +182 on the core and +713 on the memory. This card is a beast and with a little work and more cooling It will do much better. So far I am impressed. First and only run so far: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/1669423 thumb.gif

Congrats, and excellent results with the block!

The memory on these cards seems to do really well, and your core is also doing great.
Not quite so fun on air though, can't wait to get mine on water.

Looking forward to seeing more improvements with yours.
