just get an Aorus or an Asus 1080ti, then. I game in the 50c's on my Aorus.

Someone needs to pick a resolution for the new benchmark for comparison purposes

Been thinking about this since you asked (and in case we have a Top 30 thread at some point smile.gif ) 4K and 8K slam the PL on TXP and TXFp, 1080P extreme does not and pegs the Util at 100% as do 4/8K. I mean the thread would have all resolutions, but the Top 30 chart has to enable prev gen cards and desktop class to compete (and complete the bench). 1440P is the most common (HEDT) resolution?

What do you think?
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

last one: 1440P Extreme. May be the best bench setting?

kedarwolf and I tried this two days ago

I'll make it as simple as possible with screenshots.

First, edit each profile (middle circled area) from the profile path (top circled area) and include the following in the cfg file (bottom circled area):

[Settings]
VDDC_Generic_Detection=1

Then, edit the MSI Afterburner general settings with this:

That does it.

last one: 1440P Extreme. May be the best bench setting?

best option is obviously the 4k preset. My 1080ti scores 10,063. what are ya'll hitting?

open the spoiler. Only reason to back up a bit for a bench thread is to have all cards capable of a decent showing. wink.gif

from my perspective, 8K downsampled to 4K (on my 50" 4K panel) is absolutely beautiful... and brutal. tongue.gif

from my perspective, 8K downsampled to 4K (on my 50" 4K panel) is absolutely beautiful... and brutal. tongue.gif
i only tried 4k on my 1440p, and i never saw a jaggy (i was intently looking). Im going to try the 8k prest on my 4k Sammy 55" now. Good call.

it basically renders the image "in-silico" and displays at the attached resolution (downsample). 8K works on a 720P monitor.. but looks stunning on a 4K (large) panel. thumb.gif
