Before getting the one with 0 pixels/dust and BLB either nonexistent or acceptable?

Would you go through the lottery again for, say, XB272-HDR? smile.gif

Personally I gave up on it after many pieces, but those were quite old (one of the first batches). Maybe I should give it one more try.

My only one has no dead pixels, bad blb. Just IPS glow.

Still i am thinking of selling and getting one of the 34-35 UWs. Most likely a VA panel for no IPS glow.

I am not interested in gambling with the IPS lottery; especially with a $2,000 monitor. Besides 4k on a 27" monitor is not worth it. I saw a regular 27" 4k monitor at Bestbuy and it did not look much better than its 1440p counterpart next to it. 32-34" would be much better but MUCH more expensive.

I have to agree on the 1440p vs 4K on 27inchers. My experience with Dell p2715q = meh. Didn't feel much better than 1440p, honestly.

There's one amazing thing about 4K though: done right, it can allow you to play 4K and FHD without interpolation. Question is, if the scaler (which IIRC is replaced by G-sync module) can do it. With interpolation, FHD on 4K looks awful.

Nice job on the XB271HU, btw. I wish I was lucky, but I'm returning like my 4th monitor this year already, lol.

Hi guys....

Tomorrow i'm going to buy a 1440p 144hz g-sync monitor and i want to know if the xb271hu worth buying

I'm 90% playing fps games ( cs.go rainbow six siege battlefield 1+4 .... etc )

My friends are telling me to get the asus pg278QR because its 1ms and the xb271hu is 4 ms

do you recommend the xb271hu for fps gaming or i should go with asus pg278QR

i kept my first one, BLB was acceptable but it did come with one dead pixel right out of the box but with all the issues it wasn't noticeable unless I was looking for it.

Well, there's not many votes, but seems that most people got a good piece on their first try. My first try was sadly not the best (a year ago) due to extremely bad white uniformity. No pixels or dust, tho.

But it was yellow in the middle and red at the sides (very obvious and intense discoloration) so I had to return it.

My 2nd one had a dead pixel.

The ones I reviewed at a RMA center were from customer returns, they all sucked (BLB, dead pixels) but since they were all returned it may not be conclusive.

I've oredered my 3rd piece just to test my luck. If this one sucks as well, I'll probably give up again haha.

3 XB271, 4 PG27 ROG. 7 AUO 144Hz IPS BS returned. The only reason why I have XB271HU now is because my local store was so good that after last return they managed to get me review sample/unit of this monitor which is absolutely perfect (no dust, dead/stuck pixels, no BLB, small IPS glow). That is how every monitor should have been like.

And only for this unit I can say- it is worth the money I paid. Other units- NO!.
