AMD Board Recommendation

post #1 of 2
Thread Starter
So I'm in the process of upgrading some hardware and was wondering what motherboard is best suited for me. I have most components on hand already and have been browsing newegg's offerings but I'm not sure exactly what differentiates boards aside from basic specs.

Here are the components I have in hand;
1. Vishera CPU (from previous build)
2. Radeon RX480 (BNIB)
3. Samsung Evo 960 M.2 SSD (BNIB)
4. Some RAM that I hope will be compatible.
5. Antec 900 (from previous build)
6. Everything else (adequate PSU, etc).

Based on the information above I narrowed down my search to a handful of motherboards that have an AM3 socket, an M.2 slot, and an ATX form factor. I don't intend on doing x-fire or anything of that nature.

Here's the narrowed list, 9 mobos;

Most of these boards have great feedback so I'm sort of at a loss. Are they mostly the same, or is there a board there with greater offerings? Any help is appreciated.

The ASUS Aura has the best bios and is solidly built.

Prices are really going up for FX boards from the looks of it.
