Turn off individual HDD, How ?

Thread Starter
how do do so that when i power on pc all HDD wount spin up but when i want files from drive i will power them up and copy stuff i need.

My motherboard also supports hotswap but i dont want 5.2" slot occupied. so cut power wire and add switch ?
why i want that:
1. Noise
2. Power consumsion
3. Heat
4. Less likely do fail

Disconnect them, until you need them. Alternately, you can access your drives through disk manager and or device manager (disable at your own risk).
