Sweet, I'll turn the chip up to 4Ghz.
I do have it OC'd now, 3.4Ghz.
it's not gonna kill the chip or ram is it?

As long as you monitor temps while it's under load and keep them around 55C or less if possible it will be fine. Anything higher is an indication you may want to check on what you could do to reduce temps if you can, instability does start setting in once you go above 62C so using 55C as a max standard gives you some wiggle room to work with if you must on that point.

You can run an X6 at 4.0GHz / 1.44v's all day long and it will be happy as long as you do the above, do know the exact voltage needed will vary from chip to chip so yours may or may not need that much to run at 4.0GHz and if it's doesn't need it I'd run it with what it takes and no more.

Your RAM itself will be fine as well, in fact as long as you keep voltages at or close to stock it should run without any worries - Just be sure based on the actual set you have you are indeed running the suggested voltage for the set you have since some have different "Stock" voltages used.
1.62v's is safe for about anything you can throw in it regardless.

It's running at 3.4GHz on Auto voltages as a just in case. it goes between 1.41 and 1.44 depending on load.
Ram is only at 1600Mhz on stock voltages.

I let AIDA64 run for 60 minutes, so short because I need to use my PC, will run it longer tonight, but:
On 1.44v
at 3.4GHZ across all 6 cores
100% load on EVRYTHING
She stayed right on 55C
No issues whatsover.
I'll run it overnight to confirm this.

You can also try bumping up the CPU-NB speed to about 2600 and use about 1.30v's for that but know volting up the CPU-NB will make the chip run a little hotter.
Good thing is it will give your RAM a nice boost in performance.

Once you go above 3.4 you will see temps go up a little but in your case probrably not enough to worry over.
