27″ 2560 x 1440 IPS Type (AHVA) Panel: Featuring WQHD resolution, the NX-EDG27's 27 inch display features four times the amount of pixels of a standard HD computer monitor. With an impressive 178° (H) / 178° (V) viewing angles, videos and pictures can be viewed from any position with no color shifting. Both features make the NX-EDG27 the ideal monitor for content creation and professional work.
I've been so pumped for this monitor. Is there an advantage of going through this pre order mass drop like is it cheaper than when it's officially released? Being an eay adopter does make me worry
I feel like they missed their window - with the new samsung 1440p 144hz VA panels at 27" & 31,5" this nixeus monitor seems redundant as its design is really bad

I feel similarly but depending on what price Samsung is, this monitor can still be a good buy. It's looking like it will shoot for $449. Samsung launched their 144hz 1080p monitor at $399, so i expect a 1440p version with HDR will run at LEAST $599.
I'm pretty sure Samsing 27inchers will be in 1000$ range. Makes no sense that it would be cheaper than XB271HU. 600$ would be crazily good price, 200$ cheaper than predators? no way.
As for this, is it Korean only product like Yamakasi or Qnix? The stand looks like cheap copy of XB271HU, which isn't the most attractive stand in the first place
Any idea if this has an OSD? I'm kinda annoyed dealing with color inside of windows with my current screen, especially when windows 10 creative update breaks it entirely.
Edit: ah shame no shipping to Canada, will have to wait out release then.

At least it's coming here! Very exciting as it seems that you guys really put a lot of effort into your products and really put them to the test before they end up in the stores.
No wider distribution in EU than Amazon is possible? I asked a big retailer in here and they were excited about the monitor, then they just reported back it's not possible to get Nixeus products :/
My one problem with this upcoming monitor is rather silly, but height is an issue. Sadly, I only have about 44 cm of vertical space to accomodate this beast, and it seems this monitor is cutting it extremely close. I wish the stand wasn't raised, but just flat, I think that'd shave off 2 cms.
I fear that it may not be possible. The price of this monitor is what, 350$? that's much less than they ask for the other freesync 144hz, Asus MG279Q. And at least 50% of AUO's M270 panels are trash.
So they not only sell it for less, but also dump around half of their panels? How would that net any profit?
And I can't imagine that Nixeus got a better deal with AUO than Asus pr AOC regarding panels. If they want a better QC, then they have to sort through the supply from AUO and scrap ~ 50% of their panels. That simply is not profitable for a 300-350$ monitor.
So in the end I think it's the same, just different package. Could be wrong, ofc.

If they have figured out the manufacturing method to cut down BLB, the QC will be better in that sense, it's not dependant on AUO. Which is maybe the worst defect with these panels.
@Peter Nixeus, maybe you could comment on it? I guess you know how terrible the QC for the M270 panel is. Do you take extra measures to avoid BLB, or is it expected to be like in MG279Q and other monitors using this panel? I take it that AUO didn't sell you the "bezel-less" 2.6 version from XB271HU, but instead, the older & discontinued 2.3 version ? I'm pretty sure AUO didn't sell the v 2.6 to anyone but Acer.
Massdrop announced a delay due to customs now estimate shiping 6/2. Since this drop is supposed to ship directly from Nixeus it may mean the availability will be delayed a week or two.
I haven't seen this monitor for sale outside of massdrop mind posting a link.
