Since i am replacing my 3570K system I'm kinda curious if i should sell my 3570K or keep it. I have been running it at 4.8GHz 1.26V(1.24V under load) for about 2 years and change never once had a BSOD. It will do 5GHz with 1.35V and be stable but it runs so hot i wasn't comfortable leaving it at those clocks 24/7. At stock its perfectly stable with 0.96V (0.93V under load). It has been run under water since the day i got it and only ever gone past 80C a handful of times and never for very long maybe 15 minutes at the most.

If you can't find a use for it, I would try to sell it at 130$ - 145$ first to see if you can sell it at this price.

I wouldn't be surprise if you sell it at this price since it can achieve those clocks.

I've seen one sitting on a forum for $80 for 3 months now. I'll start somewhere around there then go down.

You can get an unlocked i7 at that price.

I agree with the $80 (shipped) or so for this i5.

Regarding the i7, they can go for a lot more as it's the only upgrade path for people who have these chipsets, since they are out of production. And people (like me) still hold onto them because they perform just fine for most purposes. Not everyone is capable of upgrading their full system, especially with DDR4 pricing where it is.

I sold a 3770k for $260 shipped back in the fall. I don't doubt the price should be lower by now but I'd start higher then that.

I think i'll just keep it then, worth more to me than 80 dollars. Thanks guys.

You have a chip that OCs good. You can ask for more than $80. $90-100 is possible. I can see someone wanting to get this chip & delidding to get 5GHz. You can get more for it by selling it on ebay than selling it on the forums. We look for deals on forums, Ebayers do not.

Personally, I would just spend $120 and get a 4.6GHz i7 2700k over spending $95 for an 5GHz 3570k....
