But thats a 4930k not a 3930k.

I could overclock my 3930K @ 4.9 under water just fine. Day 1 wink.gif

I have no use for a Ryzen CPU right now, but I definitely want to try it out and support AMD at some point in the future. I don't expect Skylake X to be much different than current Skylake CPUs, Intel is just trying to shift media attention away from the competition that has been dormant for seemingly a decade but is gradually coming back.

To be fair that's also 6 core 12 thread vs 8 core 16 thread. Also using liquid nitrogen Ryzen hit similar overclocks to what x99 did using ln2.

I was just satisfying the point I suppose. I think ryzen v2 is going to be great, i'll move from x99 once the next gen ryzen chips come out and work out all the kinks.

Yeah I am waiting for the same reason. Same reason I didn't go with x99 when it first came out. I decided to just stick with what I had. From what I have been seeing on the various Ryzen threads/forums is that everything has been getting much better with every bios update. I am just excited for competition in the CPU department finally. Really want some nice MATX boards biggrin.gif

No way in hell. I'm thinking $699 or $799.

Would be cool if Intell waited for AMDs Ryzen and releases a new 2500k.

A quad core?

Or you mean an Generally awesome CPU like the 2500k was?
