So I got my card in and running into problems. The fan has three wires and a 3 prong female connector that is supposed to goto the sys fan on MB. My Asus x99 only has 4 prog fan connectors on mb. 2 cpu fan 4 cha fan and a 5 prong ext fan. All the chassis 1 thru 3 have 5v, chassis fan in, chassis fan power, and ground. For the four pins. Anybody have any ideas

Not sure man ... I just plugged the SEahawk fan in to my fan controller, which has 3 prong connectors ... wouldn't stress though ... seems like an easy problem to solve ...

Yeah so the 4 prongs are setup to accept 3 or 4 prong plugs. The way they are setup can only plug in the correct way. So up and running showing a 2025 boost clock with the power slider to 120 percent and a 100 mhz added to the base clock. Just a hair over 50 degrees. Liking this card.

4 prong header = Pulse Width Modulation with sensor.
3 prongs header = Voltage Control Mode with sensor.

Two different ways to control fan speeds via BIOS.

The GPU uses it's own temp sensor and fan control software, so as long as it gets Ground on #1 pin and 12VDC on #2 pin, you're good to go. Pin 3 is then used as failure warning signal to MB BIOS
