Yeah, the C7 is pretty sweet. I have one in the bedroom and it makes me grumpy vs the g6 in the living room. (the g6 is bigger ...soo.. ) hopefully next year the 77" is hdmi 2.1 and under 10k.

side note, I just got the g6 calibrated and to my shock, the TV looks much better. I did it because i expected some improvement, but not this much. (the c7 will be done soon too.) the G6 was so costly too that as a % the calibration wasn't to bad.
Are you finding the 120hz worth it? If i'm on the TV that means i'm on the sofa with a controller. I can't move fast enough with a controller that I care about high refresh rate. Also, 1080p is eye cancer! biggrin.gif

I am on the couch too brah! 55 inch C7, 1080p with some nice AA running at 120hz is legit imho, love the motion clarity :0

I sit about 5.5ft away, if your right up on it obviously 4k would be better.

Would you rather play games on the C7 or the Dell oled?

Honestly now that I can use the C7 oled in pc mode with 4:4:4 and use an ISF mode with correct color and gamma and at 21ms, to me it doesn't get a lot better than that right now.

Does the Input lag on the Dell feel like more like than the C7?

P.S when you get the oled calibrated makes sure to get pc mode ISF calibrated, that is the must use mode in this tv. When I picked my C7 up from Value Electronics, John was there calibrating a 65 inch C7 and he told me at 35 oled light and 85 contrast there is no ABL and I confirm this with my setup in pc mode with ISF bright smile.gif

How is the white uniformity? Any pink/yellow tinting or dirty screendoor effect?

Does it not come pre-calibrated like most high-end Ultrasharps? I'm confused by the specs
Does that mean the I1D Pro that I have from few years back won't work with this OLED display?

i have both the i1D pro and the i1 pro. (but i can't find the darn i1 pro.. so i'll be using the i1D.)

i did ask about this to the people that make calman (about my OLED TVs) here is what they said:
Quote:
This is going to be a bit of a mixed bag of an answer. As of right now, the i1Display does not have a correction table for an OLED display type. The i1Pro, as a spectro, doesn’t need a correction table, but will not do well with the very low light levels of OLED displays.
However, there is a way to get the best of both worlds, and that is profiling your i1Display with the i1Pro.

Of course a computer controlling color has a ton more options than a TV

No screen door nor odd tinting. clearly from my pix, the default colors is SUPER saturated. I'm using adobe rgb now and once i finish updating my laptop to the new version of windows i'm going to do some tests with Calman and the x-rite i1D pro.

the sofa is winning me over more and more. I only play single player these days and sofa + dog + 65" + oled + 7.1 surround. Till today the oled pushed me to the TV too. black levels are a big deal. Take a game like dishonored 2. yeah, the world is fine on a LCD monitor, but amazing on oled. deep shadows, hbo+ etc really come to life.

sadly any of the isf modes don't get the input lag level of gaming mode. It has zero impact to name it PC. Only gaming mode is the lower latency. (yes, i just checked again a few days ago.) Sadly the gaming mode has a ton fewer tweak options. But i'm happy with how stuff looks in gaming mode even if it isn't as nice from ISF.
I also learned that my receiver has a much better scaler than the LG .. that helped a bunch with the ugly 900p of the Nintendo switch. smile.gif If you have nice receiver and are playing under 4k, you might want to check (where? got me smile.gif ) if the scaler in the AVR is better than the TVs.
(I have the Pioneer Elite SC-LX901 and the Denon AVR-X7200wa)

I checked again and using pc icon on my C7 and choosing ISF bright mode gives me 21ms smile.gif

You need to recheck it because it is definitely 21ms, it takes maybe 5 seconds but it drops to that and stays there smile.gif

I will never use gaming mode on this agian as I get same lag as game mode but with accurate colors in ISF mode .

Here is a photo showing 21ms in PC mode with ISF bright that I took :

odd, that said it was testing it on the g6 that jumped 10ms when on isf (and named PC). You tested on the middle bar?

Zurv , Is it possible to see us some pictures for black levels and some HDR videos with this OLED Non HDR ?

This only works on the C7 !

You have to change the icon to pc ( renaming it does nothing ) and you then choose ISF bright, turn off all extra processing options like edge enhancement etc and make sure deep color hdmi is set on for the input and viola' , 21ms in ISF mode :0

And yes this was on the middle bar smile.gif

once i get this darn laptop updated (windows!!!! which i'll use to calibrate the monitor) i can take some shots. I'm pretty sure HDR videos on this would be wacky. all the HDR metadata will be ignored.

thanks for the update Zurv, esp on the colours and calibration process.
looks like if it was just 2" larger, and DP1.4 then it'd be all gravy!
when I upgrade my computer later this year this will still be #1 choice for the monitor upgrade. thought I was done with triple monitgors but I kinda want 3 of these bad boys.

might i add HDR to the list too smile.gif that 2" drop is.. something. I feel it. enough so to go to 150% dpi (from 125%) from my 32"
blur monitor is pretty good. no trail (ghosting) and better than the predator. But it is still a sample and hold screen. smile.gif
